Michigan really did the whole country a disservice by losing to TCU. Not only were they a better team, but they certainly would've given Georgia a better game than what we saw tonight (I honestly think Michigan would have won). They really picked the worst time to have their worst game.

There were only two other teams that lost to Georgia by fewer points than UT, which were Missouri and Ohio State...and we were Georgia's only home game of those three games.

UT also beat Alabama.

TCU also lost by 58 points -- that's more than the 55-0 shut-out Georgia had on unranked Vanderbilt. You should never lose in the championship by that much, and if you do then you shouldn't still be #2 in the nation when fourteen other teams under less spotlight did better than you against the same #1.

UT also won its bowl game against Clemson after being snubbed from the playoffs, reconfirming who is the best of the orange teams.

What I'm trying to say is go Vols -- put us higher.

Nah, Tennessee had their chance to get in and they blew it. I wouldn't argue for their inclusion, just that they should be ranked above Alabama.

"Snubbed" was used in hindsight -- yeah, that loss to SC was immediately clear UT wouldn't make it to playoffs anymore when it happened. Just a bad unfortunate loss.

I mean, we knew that for the last 7 or 8 years of the BCS when the SEC was winning every year then, too. It doesn't mean TCU wasn't a really cool story.

College football is about a lot more than who wins at the end anyway.

If you are looking for parity do not look at college sports.

PSU only lost to two playoff teams. Nobody above them outside of the top 4 can say that. We should be 5th <_<

4 team CFP helped that happen, though. The field is large enough to guarantee the top few teams will make it almost year (since one bad game won't derail their whole season), but small enough that basically nobody else has a real shot. This drives the best players to those schools, which leads to further dominance, which leads to even better recruiting, and so on. Anyone outside of that top tier can't really build a program up because they have nothing meaningful to play for.

Clemson very squarely did NOT matter until the CFP sorts forced the issue and we got over the hump.

People act like we are Alabama and OSU when we really only got over the hump in 2015.

People are saying the UF QB recruit is trying to back out of his NIL because there is a hiccup getting him his promised $13 Million dollar deal.

If that is a real number then lol what the hell florida. Brock Purdy of the san fransisco 49ers makes under $1 Million a year

If everyone stops declaring for the NFL draft thats why

we will definitely get to the point where the top recruits get paid more than everyone except first round picks, so we might see fewer people declaring unless they're sure they're first rounders
