There were early reviews that said it was pretty buggy even with a Day 1 patch (and those came out like a day or two prior).

Can you post one? I do not remember anything at all making it out to be particularly buggy and most of the fan drama centered heavily on the "it doesn't have any post-game" and "it has code that hints at DLC" factors.

People having such low standards is just... depressing. The games will never improve, they'll just put in less effort with each game because they keep breaking sales records no matter what they do.

It's the other way around for me, I was hoping the backlash wasn't enough for these games to underperform, because the gameplay loop is the best the series has been in years, so I'm hoping they capitalize on the formula and keep trying to innovate moving forward.

Before this and Arceus, the series was getting beyond stale and Sword and Shield was a low point for the franchise.

All the need is to get the technical parts sorted out, because Scarlet and Violent, from the gameplay side of things, are excellent.

The one I saw was IGN's Review in progress that is now changed to their full review. They talked about it in two videos before the game came out.

if it wasn't for performance issues people might be calling this the best pokemon game, so I'd hardly call that low standards. This game and Arceus massively changed upon the stale old formula and if it had retained the same outside of battle catching system/free battle system from Arceus, it'd be almost unrecognizable from the earlier games.

They can't keep getting away with this!

Been having more fun with these than any other mainline/remake game since gens 4-5. Yes, graphically it is a bit wonky like Legends Arceus, but I've not been running into any of the real weird bugs that are being showcased all over the place online. I almost feel disappointed in a way, like I'm missing out on the wackiness.

It's a pretty fun game and I haven't noted any game breaking bugs or anything too crazy outside of minimal graphical glitches and the small occasional slowdown. I

By not preordering it, and instead waiting for reviews. they cant blame anyone but themselves for buying a buggy unoptimised piece of shit. And not only that, they are directly to blame because the preorder culture they support caused this
