"safe" stand-up comic do you find HYSTERICAL

I say the best comics are the ones that "hold a mirror" up to the audience and point out people's insecurities in a comedic way. Sometimes it dips into the realm of being "offensive", and I personally think that's ok. Comics like Chris Rock, Mark Normand, Andrew Schultz, and Sam Morril to name a few. She says that a comic shouldn't need to "degrade" the audience, or themselves, in order to get a laugh, and there are "plenty" of clean and wholesome comics out there that are just as funny as any "offensive" comic. As someone who bases their whole life around trying to make people laugh, I hate seeing any type of gatekeeping. If you can make people laugh, you have a place in Comedy. It's about giving people that feeling that makes someone let life stress go and just enjoy the moment.
