It seems larger than a box of chocolates so you open it and discover an AR-15 inside, with a lipstick kiss mark on the barrell as well as a fresh box of ammo.

Thank her then sell it to someone that actually wants it, use the proceeds to buy something I actually want.

If she gets upset about it then oh well, no sense in keeping something around that I have no interest in using.

I would be very surprised that she didn't know after 15 years together that I have no interest in guns, plus the fact that I live in a sensible country with gun control laws so I wouldn't be able to use it.

I live in Britain and here in Britain many types of guns are banned and we have the strictest control measures in the world.

If she did get me a shotgun which legal I would sell it or bin it as I have zero interest in guns.

I still think it's less strict than Australia, Japan, Singapore etc.

And in ancedoteal experience I know a ton more British guys with guns than German guys. People just ignore the law.

I remember going into a "hobby" shop in Dover that has fishing stuff in the window but the moment you walk into the store all you see is guns.

I don't buy that it's strictest place in the world for gun control, in law or in practice.
