The alleged rumor that he paid Russian hookers to pee on him and the Russians were using this to blackmail him to do their bidding.

I always thought this rumor was kinda crazy. Trump just denies objective reality every day, if a pee tape leaked he'd just call it a fake hoax and then ramble something bad about Jews and Mexicans and how great he is.

And in order to get Trump to do your bidding, all youi have to do is say how great he is and he'll roll over for the praise. He's a big baby.

At the same time, Trump was ridiclously useless as president, constantly humiliating himself, making awful policy decisions, botching covid, the wall nonsense, hurting our allies, promoting cult like reality denial, ruining lives. Just thousands upon thousands of legitimate criticisms to nail him to the wall with.

And a lot of people were not bringing those up or bringing those up alongside "Lol pee tapes lul!" which gave GOP ammunition to just handwave anything anyone says.

If you say "Current industry especially from China and The US is ruining the enviroment and will have major negative long term effects on the planet for the future generations.... Also Superman is real and I saw him beat up a dinosuar in my backyard the other day before flying off to Mars to have a picnic with Martian Man Hunter." Everyone can dismiss the first part by ignoring it and attacking the second.

It was a losing strategy.

there no was no winning strategy. it doesn't matter how much proof you have, how right you are, when your opposition is just going to plug their ears and say "LA LA LA" either way

you're not dealing with a rational opposition here. there's no evidence you can put forward, no logic you can apply, no argument to be made. you are universally wrong in all things, and they are objectively and factually correct. you are the bad guy. period.

Most of America hates Trump.

If you keep pushing the facts about how awful Trump is, he will fail. You have to focus on the guys you can win over, not the MAGAs and not the guys laughing at your pee memes. The 100 million other guys who are too lazy to vote who can be swayed by facts if they see them

because trump was so bad he pushed those usually practically neutral (as in, those who don't vote) into the polls to vote him out. and even then, the sum of grey and blue was only barely larger than red.

People were generally obsessed with everything he did. Every misspelled tweet he sent was the smoking gun of him secretly being a nazi and every and every boorish or moronic thing he did stuck around on social media much longer than the horrible things he was doing as leader of the free world. People were too busy sifting through his shit looking for weird stuff instead of focusing on the fact he was shitting on their bed.

I was right about a lot of events in the '16-'20 era, but one thing I got wrong was the pee tapes. I thought they were real. I wanted them to be real. I didn't think it would ruin him necessarily, it would just be incredibly funny if it were true.
