I mean he might not be entirely wrong, but that doesn't actually help the case of the games. It makes it worse.

But Game Freak is a major owner of TPC. To pretend like it isn't significantly involved in decisions about budgets and timelines on games is silly. Nintendo, one of the other major owners is pretty well known for delaying games for polish and performance so I doubt they are the ones going hard on the timeline. Maybe Creatures are real task masters, but I'm having a hard time buying into the "poor little Game Freak" narrative.

Don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean I think that the actual people developing the game themselves are actively to blame. I'm sure Game Freak, like many companies, has a bunch of managers making these decisions even if the people doing the work don't like them.
