There is a proposition that mental health workers respond to 911 calls that have mental health issues - my local election. I think it is great and I think mental health workers deal with "situations" already. I have the impression that mental health workers are paid less than cops. How is this going to play out? In a lot of these cases, wouldn't a police officer still need to go with the worker in case the person is a danger? I can't see how it'd be a cost cutting measure --- Down with the Signess. ... Copied to Clipboard!
