Ok, so Celeste has been used before in BOST5, and I know theres some overlap here. I couldnt bring myself to completely remove all of the repeats, so heres the compromise Im going with:
I believe only Celestial Resort and Mirror Magic were actually used in the last BOST, so I specifically put those songs in alt status. Theyre not in the main set, but I still like them a lot, so I didnt completely remove them. Im going to go through with this decision for now, but I am well aware that people REALLY like Mirror Magic. If I see a lot of people disagreeing with this list. Ill change it back to how it was in the forum on discord minus the extra new alts I added.

After some feedback to limit the amount of zts songs and to replace liberatedliberator, I'm going along with that and removing it, dropping the number of zts songs to 3. Personally, liberatedliberator is my least favorite zts song in the original list anyway, so I have no problem replacing it. Decided to bump Golden Nocturne up to the main list and put 7-weights as the alt. I don't think 7-weights would've done well in BOST5, but I think after some of the songs that did well in VGMC16, it has a better chance in BOST6? So it might be a decent pick for the alt. Of course, if anyone thinks it should be replaced or wants additional alts, I'm fine with that.

EDIT: Added Fate as an alt and swapped Name These Children with Fight with Mecha-Drago based on some suggestions given to me. This is a little bit more experimental of a change, so I'm posting this now and see what my current supporters/other people say.

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX
- whoa i never new kh had anything as to my tastes as Scherzo Di Notte (well not counting things like thermosphere or tron arranges), love the crazy unanticipated chord changes. also the instrumentation on this ost in general is clicking with me, love mallet percussion (vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, etc) which is pretty prominent over this, making me : ) happy

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
- tuned percussion is so easy to win me over with; this arrange of Hail From the Past is really hitting with me, and i already liked the track to begin with!

Mad Rat Dead
- i love breath of forest so much; i think the style of composition ermine is into clicks with me best when presented with a forest-y aesthetic (see: ffcc). but also one of the most major factors in my taste is that i like when things feel like a seamless merging of artificial and natural elements. breath of forest attains that perfect balance for me. between its edm container and its breath of nature perfectly, without feeling slapped on to each other at all

DANCERUSH STARDOM
- BEYOND THE EARTH (STARDOM Remix) is like if someone made a nekomata master song except extremely loud; it's some incomprehensible paradoxical realm that's simultaneously the bueist urban district and serene forest at the SAME time. SMALLEST 3K-PERFECT NUMBER (DANCERUSH Style) was also very cool; sorta polymetric with loops that are in 5/4 but a bouncy kick-snare-kick-snare that doesn't relent, layered over overlappingly. the groove is more unique than even that sounds on paper, because of the bounciness

Yume Nikki
- i can not decide on what my favorite tracks in this game are but you hit a number of the ones i come back to most here undeniably. the 17+16 loop of tokun-tokun : ) probably one of my favorite overall sets nommed, which isn't a surprise.

Hive Jump
- the glitchy drilling/buzzing stutter in Queen Killer around 1:05 make that part feel so punchy and climactic and i love that. also yeah i like the 7/8 tension in Taking Care of the Caretaker (Ice Boss) it reminds me of Yoshinori Kawamoto it's like if he tried to make a slick modern production arrange album version of his weird Klonoa Heroes tracks

Octopath Traveler
- frostlands has some really cool electronic tinges that combined with the natural layers of everything else make it feel like...well i was going to say gust to mean like exa_pico series but actually it sounds like "calm blue reflection song" now that i think about it, which i like!

Risk of Rain 2
- the [prog metal]<->[jazz fusion] merged category of thing; is one of my favorite musical areas. The Face of the Deep nails that zone perfect. this whole soundtrack leans into that style WAY more than I realized; i knew Chris liked that kinda stuff, but i never listened to this soundtrack in full, so i had no idea that this much of it hit that category at all. Of all the sets in day 1 that i wasn't familiar with most of the music already: this is probably the one that's the most consistently full of exciting new stuff to me. Thank you for introducing me to something new for me to love!

SILENT HILL 2
- heaven's night has been on my regular listening rotation for years now; i'm presuming thanks to snake but i'm not actually sure if i encountered it in some other way first. it's amazing trip-hop adjacent stuff that does exactly what i like in that department. being chill while still being...trippy; especially with rhythmic confusion stuff in the echoy elements and sample loop points and stuff. oh my god SILENT HEAVEN is so good...i miss "snake music" like this i'm glad i am here to hear that. alone in the town is great trip hop too. and ALL THREE ALTs are crazy good. god this set is actually one of the ones with the most exciting new discoveries to me too, i don't think i ever listened to silent hill 2 in full or watched it played attentively enough to hear the music clearly.
