But bad example aside, you've already had things explained to you. Your statement was intended to provoke(as insults are designed to do). Doesn't matter if the insult is accurate, it's still an insult.

"It's not trolling if it's true" is the same argument as "It's not flaming if it's true", a poor one that exposes you for someone who doesn't understand the rules.

It's not the same though. If someone is an asshole and you call them an asshole, It's flaming, regardless of whether it's true because it's an insult. It's a true insult, but still an insult.
