Does anyone else see these types of signs in people's yards in their states or is this mainly an Ohio thing? Shit makes me nervous as a black dude delivering especially at night.

Cringe to have those signs in places that aren't gun stores or some high security government building.

Don't tell any would be burglar you have a gun. Let them find out the hard way.

This, though I don't remember seeing any of those signs when I used to live in Texas as well.

"Trespassers will be shot" is so old and cliche that it isn't even noticed anymore.

But a sign that says "Trespassers will have their organs harvested" will catch any baddies attention.

You could make the argument that the signage is a deterrent, so you don't have to use your firearm. Strategy isn't cut and dry. That's not what he's doing though. He just wants to be the big man.

This reminds me of a video that I watched about this paranoid dick-smack who installed traps all over his home/property, and accidentally killed himself after setting one off. Darwin Award lifetime achievement right there.

Well, considering VD is one of the biggest chuds on the board, I can't say I'm surprised to hear that he's got the "lonely gun toting homeowner" setup going.

In fact, I'll bet he wears one holstered on his hip when he's home.

And hell I even hung out with the burglars earlier in my life while they were burgling

Not really the same, but I remember hearing about this judge in Texas, I think, that was super proud that he had a 100% conviction rate. Like, that's a horrible thing to have on your record. Innocent people stand trial, too.

I live in a neighborhood which has had a few robberies over the years, nobody ever robs our house because we don't look like we have anything worth stealing, but might be either armed or cook meth It's the rotting fence and lack of pavement on the driveway - we basically haven't reinnovated since the house was built, 35 years ago, except for the roof, so we look like a house from the sticks because 35 years ago, this WAS the sticks. The people who tend to get robbed are the ones who live in nice, newer houses and don't look armed. The ones who live in the nicest house *and* look armed had to bail their kid out of prison because he was one of the robbers, although he was burgling in a different neighborhood.

That was a fun story and all, but I think people are just picking on Dios (well deserved; he sounds like he lives in a right dump) but believing in their own silliness. Burglars tend to pick safe targets.
