Some people must really not like winning, I guess. One of my top pieces of advice is to never guess double letter words until at least your third guess, because if you're wrong, you just made it a lot harder for yourself. That certainly happened here, and was the largest contributing reason to why they struggled today.

Why? You waited until your third guess. That's when there's nothing wrong with guessing a double letter if you already know there's one of those letters in the word (as Xuxon said), and given possible combinations it's often worth a try at that point. Way different than forcing yourself to struggle with an unproductive guess in the first two words.

I had the exact same third guess yesterday, after 2 yellows across the first two words. Bit annoying when that happens, I also got it in 4 obviously.

3 guesses today. Considered trying the actual answer for my second guess, but thought we had already used this word, so went for a slightly different word. Still better than usual for me.
