I have literally no idea why you'd remove her.

I mean, she's not that individually relevant to the plot, but the duo was pretty prevalent in the story, and she's pretty well-liked among fans from what I've seen. It doesn't really add anything at all to remove her...?

Milly was the absolute best. How could you not have her?

Between Wolfwood, Vash, Milly and Meryl, I feel like Milly is the one you could get away with cutting out of the story, but I have no idea why you'd do it.

The new series is a complete reboot. We have no idea how things are going to pan out and which characters are going to appear or not.

It's not following the old anime, nor is it adapting the manga. Studio Orange just wanted to do something original with the property and the original author provided general character guidance but that's about it. The whole series is basically filler.

Fair but it still disappoints me greatly. She was one of my favorite parts of the original series.

Wait Triguns getting remade?

Guess there's no room for a 7 foot ridiculously jacked tower of a creampuff in the remake.

Milly and Meryl were those two girls right? I forget which is witch but I remember the tiny one's cape had a bunch of single shot pistols in it and the tall one carried around a guitar sized minigun on her back through that's probably not true.

Still this reboot belongs in the trash like the FLCL "sequels"

Vash is anything but an idiot.

He plays around like a fool and acts dumb, but its all an act. Thats why every fight with him plays like a 3 stooges bit where he "gets lucky" and dodges all their shots and disarms the bad guy in a comedic fashion.

Hes really in total control the entire time. When he DOES act serious, he absolutely bodies people.

Gasback was the big badass that everyone feared and Vash made him look like a complete bitch with no effort.

Didn't know they were making new Trigun stuff but I'm all for it; the original anime is superb and Vash is a badass.

Thank you captain fucking blatantly obvious for coming out and outright stating the premise and basic charm of the character.

I literally thought for a few seconds putting a spoiler covered bullet on there, just in case anyone was stupid and clueless enough to do this with a screamingly obvious post.

But I decided Trigun was too old a franchise to waste time worrying about that.

Should have known better.

This is literally the reason for the character design change. We can't have nuance or subtlety anymore.

This whole reboot is awkward because it has stuff I would enjoy in other series, but it's likely gonna be missing a lot of the stuff I specifically like about Trigun Maximum. Like a monkey paw wish for a Trigun reboot that's not quite what was asked for.

My hardcore copium take is that this new series takes place post-landfall but before the destruction of July and that it'll end with a perfect transition into Maximum.
