It definitely draws inspiration from Return of the Obra Dinn and figuring out what's happening in each chapter has a similar feel. Massive full game spoilers There were a few parts at the end where we were straight-up guessing, and one of the big ones was that it wasn't clear to me that Edmund de-aged himself and became Lazurus. The final scenario is like "come to where we first met" and we were like, he met Lazurus somewhere between scenarios, wtf is this shit. Then we randomly put Peter in as the killer for Lazurus and that was a huge wtf moment because, what possible connection does Lazurus have with Peter?!? Then the epilogue was like "Edmund became Lazurus" and suddenly everything made sense. Johnbobb 10/18/22 2:18:53 PM #19:	Finished the game ~~goddamn I was not expecting that last chapter twist with Edmund -> Lazarus but when it clicked it was super satisfying~~ I had had the feeling early on that Edmund was still alive somewhere because of the way it looked like he had survived the explosion and it seemed weird that he would just "die" offscreen like that, but I definitely didn't think it was going to happen the way it did. There are a lot of hints in the finale to show that Edmund is somewhere in that scene (the threatening letter from Edmund to Mary ~~after~~ he's reported to have died, but what really confirmed it was Ada at the Inn having EC's handkerchief after Lazarus received a letter saying to bring an item of his to her at the Inn. Then I looked at his bust in the camp, and compared it to Edmund Cloudsley's face in earlier scenes, and yeah the resemblance seems almost obvious in hindsight.
