I'll give a story.

There's a house 2 down the street from me. The owner died a year ago, and left the land in care of his wife (who live in japan). The house has 3 cars in the driveway all parked like they are ready to go. The spoky part is on the 2nd floor there is a room that has a dim light on every night. I always imagine that there is someone who is going to look out the window and see me looking up from the street. It gives me the creeps

That is creepy. There was this abandoned house not too far from where I used to live in the 90's that me and some friends saw from the road that supposedly was haunted. All we heard about that house was the family just left and no one ever moved in. It looked really creepy, like from a horror movie.

There is a largely closed psychiatric hospital not far from here. Originally built in the late 1800's and it looks like it should be the setting for a horror movie.

Something similar where I lived in the 90's. An old lady passed away in here house and nobody knew for a solid 3 months until one of the neighbors checked in to find here body in a state of decay. I always made sure to walk quickly past the house because I imagined the woman's decayed ghost would come out of the house.

Really creepy things. I remember years ago, someone here on PotD posted something really creepy about driving I think in the rain and looking in their rearview mirror and kept seeing this woman standing on the road in their rearview mirror. Anyone remember this?

Two houses down from mine was the home of a serial killer. He killed eight prostitutes and stuffed them in different places around the house. The house was flipped and renovated at least four times after the investigation was over. Theres a family thats been living there for a decade or so now.

Im working on an old va army base and the people there have tons of ghost stories. The building Im working in is currently a hospice but it used to be a psych ward where they did electroshock therapy and other questionable practices. They had to close the entire loft of the hospital because it was so haunted. Theres also a 250 yo mansion on the base where someone claims they recorded the ghost of a slave talking.

My wife and I went to Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween one year. When they did the Silent Hill theme. It was a lot of fun.

I still make fun of her for the rotten bacon scent from the haunted houses that permeated her hair.

one night an entire house just vanished in the town i lived in prior

it was a very small town, and in a populated area

the house itself was a dilapidated condemned piece of garbage, but it legitimately just fucking vanished overnight, no trace or anything. no wreckage, no vehicle tracks, no one heard it, nothing it fucking just vanished i still have nightmares about this fuckin house dude where the fuck did it go and how
