Shit like this is why I question why civilians are allowed to have guns. To resort to lethal force not because you're threatened but because you're pissed is just making everyone with a gun look like a hothead and unfit to be armed.

They ruin it for those of us who just want to own firearms responsibly.

Problem is what do you do with people who haven't had any issues that could prevent them from owning a gun but they also want a gun to compensate for their "smallness" and look for excuses to pull it out? Those are the most worrisome sector of gun owners, IMO.

I get some people want guns to potentially defend themselves, but as someone from Canada, it seems like the people I have met who wanted the guns the most are the one I would trust the least

You require licensing. These kind of fuckheads aren't going to do well in classes and training, if they'd even try.

There just needs to be SOMETHING in the way besides being born long enough ago.

if you shoot someone you get arrested because that's how cops work

if you have enough money or (less likely) your case is just that airtight, you might get the charges dropped or be found not guilty of murder or assault

Killing someone out of revenge most certainly cannot.

with license yes. but other than that i agree. if the deer/elk aren't hunted to a reasonable number they'll starve and die come winter.

gotta use all the parts (meat especially) it's wasteful otherwise.

Obviously wealth and political connections will be a huge part of it in practice.

I assume your answers would be people who need them for specific jobs such as law enforcement and private security, and maybe rural farmers can have a shotgun or something.

I also assume personal defense would not be a valid reason. Am I on the right track?
