I love romance anime and watch a lot of it , but most of the time ,there the female lead bests friend character, that is very obsessive with female lead and is really douchy with male lead and tries to sabotage their relationship at every turn , I always get sad when I start to like a show and then they introduce that character.

The Piglets, The Blankys (Brave Little Toaster), the Linus Van Pelts (That stupid kid who sucks on his thumb and never lets go of that smelly blanket), The Jimmy's (Ed, Eddie, and Eddy)

Pretty much anyone who's annoyingly insecure, timid, and obsessed and clingy.

The rage that goes through my head every time I see anyone in their circle not immediately cut ties with them is just ugh.

The pervert "best friend" characters in a lot of different anime.

Mysterious older person who gives the main characters their missions but later turns out to be evil or using the main characters and then they fight. Especially when it is for some secret organization and they used to do the same jobs as the MCs.

Mostly why I cant stand Anime is characters like this:

The circus of secondary / tertiary characters to the protagonist that literally only exist to stand in the background and provide expository dialogue or react to the main characters fights.

Characters that use Reddit speak and either literally or verbally wink at the camera. Deadpan existential speak, calling themselves and other characters out on overused tropes. Some characters seem to embody this. I dislike it.
It was fun when Deadpool did it initially but now games going overly meta is the eye roller for me.
