After all the shit about plot and prime rick that was actually interesting, every episode was random and kinda bad until probably 5 and 6, the most recent one.

And in six the portal shit is fixed by sentient fucking dinosaurs that sentient fucking rocks kill fix it while Rick complains that he could have stretched that into a season, or atleast a three episode arc.

Like wtf? Are they kidding and actually dropping the lore or not? The lore episode were good this time where random ones kinda sucked. And now they might go back to the original Rick and morty portal adventures or whatever.

I really hope they bring back prime back dammit. The plot was getting good ffs.

I'm kind of confused how you've watched four seasons of this show and are taken by surprise that they completely abandoned the "main" plot to have random stories about fortune cookie incest and clone fucking before veering back to it just long enough to casually destroy any narrative weight a hanging plot thread had.

I'm nor so much as confused as I am surprised and annoyed. Like, the makers of the show even said that it's plot time. Even evil morty became a plot character later. The plot episodes have mostly been hood, so why can't they stay with them dammit.

Wow man, I can't believe in this day and age for how long this show has been on people still get trolled by the creators and their bullshit, that's like taking Matt and Trey's words about South Park seriously, it's a comedy show, they don't give a shit, they'll never give a shit, everything they said and will always say is ust bluster to get people to watch the show so they still have a steady paycheck

It still annoys me that the random ass dinosaurs magically fixed portal. Although with them saying it will be like how it used to makes me wonder if them saying that is just a joke too though.

The dinosaurs are part of the plot though. They're demonstrably smarter than Rick which indicates that his new parmeesian universe is outside the Central Finite Curve.

The fans care more about the lore then the writers and it always been they way. Like each year they hook some people in , and you were one of them this time. Don't worry it happens to a lot of people who think they give a shit.

exactly - Rick can still do inter-dimensional portal nonsense but hes no longer the smartest guy in the universe, alternate or not.

he also didnt want their portal gun BECAUSE it was way better than his, as pointed out by the dinosaurs and Morty.

6 episodes so far and its a solid season.

the fortune cookie episode was good, as was the first episode and the Dinosaur one.

I stopped taking it seriously in like Season 4 and it's a lot more enjoyable this way.

That part was actually interesting though. Another reason why the portal fixing threw me for a loop. Like does it being fixed mean no more people smarter than Rick, or a lot more?

it means no more smarter people than Rick until the writers decide they want to use people smarter than Rick.

But Rick is still the smartest person. And he out smarted them in the end.

He discovered that the Rock people were missing up all of their work.

It's hard for me to get into the story of Rick and Morty when it's treated like a joke honestly. I have enjoyed this season more than the past two but conversely I found the dinosaurs one to be the weakest of this batch.
