One time my dog ate a small piece of metal foil and it blocked his intestines. This sounds much worse, so I'd say get him to the vet ASAP.

It's wild, my dog when I was growing up ate grapes, got into chocolate and I think even got gum at times and he never seemed to have an issue. Guess he was just lucky

Guys, my puppy is fine. I was at work. It turns out, I didnt have to go to the vet after all. She didnt even throw up or get sickly. YMMV.
