I'm not even trying to score any goals on the phone thing. I take issue with the strange idea wanting to have fun is somehow unworthy of video games.

I'll admit I jumped the gun when I made my initial posts since I didn't read the article about Blizzard not allowing people with prepaid plans to play, I just think it's weird that there's a demographic of people out there that have a gaming PC but no phone. It's just an odd mismatch of priorities.

Sure that demographic could be mostly children, but if mom and dad are already buying your vidyas then surely they can also supply a cell phone for that person to use too.

An Xbox is a hell of a lot cheaper than a gaming PC.

Even poor people have phones. If youre so poor that you are homeless, dont have a PC and dont have a phone, you arent able to play overwatch anyway and should spend money on something to improve your life situation such as a phone

At this point, I hope they just defend the decision and enforce it. The majority of the people rampantly crying about this will probably be the type of player to fill one of these archetypes: hesitant to learning (the "I play for fun" crowd), resistant to social interactions despite playing a multiplayer game, serial rage quitter/griefer, a troll, or all of the above.

They can find out after I get there, just like before cellphones.
