Well, yes. A fact is just a point of data that is true. The typical way people troll with facts is extrapolating shit takes by reducing the data down to its simplest numbers without any regard for why the data looks a certain way.

"Statistics" aren't quite the same as facts since they can be manipulated to focus on a very limited view of data for the purpose of bad faith trolls. Especially if polls are involved.

hell, in some countries (like Sweden) you can be convicted for slander for saying something that is completely true

Partly, but it can also come down to drawing false conclusions from factual data.

One of the old classics from 261 (although I admit I haven't seen it in a while) is posting statistics of "black on black crime" as a commentary on black people in general.
