Beast Wars transformers were probably my favorite overall. Definitely the action figure I had the most of. I liked action figures in general really until I was maybe 10-11.

I had all the TMNT figures. Unfortunately only 1 survived to still be in good condition and not lost. Lost all the weapons, though.

He-Man for sure (Im old so I mean the OG He-Man).

Transformers though I only had a few (second generation immigrant)
Second place was Sky Commanders - I got into them after the craze died down so most of them were really cheap

Legos were probably my favorite for the longest amount of time.

I loved Beast Wars figures and Star Wars figures. Legos were also great too. Especially Lego Star Wars.

Yeah me too. Remember Snake Mountain and the microphone? Ha! Awesome!

I had a hefty metal F-14 that was about a footlong. There's no chance a toy like that could be made today, as it'd kill a kid if tossed at them.

Legos for sure, I sometimes wish I still had them because they're probably still fun.

I was big into Power Rangers and wrestler action figures. For the wrestlers I had all kinds of stuff to go with them. I had several rings and backstage areas. I even recorded entrance themes on my Talkboy to play for each wrestler. Fun times indeed.

As a kid, I collected a bunch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys. Over time, the series lost a lot of its "cool" factor when they started making more and more of the goofy characters -- a gorilla sergeant, a giraffe who played basketball, Michelangelo as a birthday party clown, etc. The Technodrome was definitely the best playset I recall ever having.

I also collected Transformers, but my childhood took place during that weird period where G1 was showing in rerun but none of the original cast members were still on shelves. I'm pretty sure the early 90s had its own Transformers show, but it was one I never got into. I ended up getting an Optimus Prime that was significantly smaller in scale than what he should have been and I never received a Megatron of any kind. I'm not into adult toy collecting -- I don't look down on it, I'm just not into it -- but there are times I'm almost tempted to spite purchase them. Like, Ha!, I've collected you at last!

Getting the Jurassic Park tyrannosaurus from Kenner was one of my favorite birthday memories from my childhood. That, and the Imperial Godzilla are still occupying shelf spaces in a closet and garage respectively.

I never really got into collecting superhero action figures. From the 1989 Batman, I had Batman, the Joker, and the Bat Cave. From Batman Returns, I had Catwoman. From the 1966 series, I had Penguin. (Penguin was smaller in scale, but it didn't bother me because he was canonically short anyway. Nor did I mind him being bright blue in contrast to the darker figures of the Burton movies.) On the Marvel side of things, I had Spider-Man and Venom from the animated series and a couple of stray X-Men characters. Apocalypse is the only one I specifically remember owning. For the most part, it just didn't sync up. By the time I started getting into more superhero cartoons and movies, I was phasing out of buying toys. Had I gotten into collecting superhero toys at a younger age, I think I likely would have been a comic reader in my teens and twenties.

NES. I was never an action figure/doll child.

Shogun megazord and some play set where a construction car goes in a loop, carries metal beads up to the top and then unloads them and then the cycle repeats.

He-man was good.
I had the SS Flagg (still do). That was my favorite toy for sure.

Apart from that, I loved my Coleco vision.

Later in the 90s I had some Power Rangers figures, the Thunderzords, morpher and blade blaster. Z-Bots were great too. Had some individual figures from Batman, Terminator, Dick Tracy, and Ghostbusters.

i can't remember anything before Lego, but i was probably 6 or 7 by then.

G1 Transformers and Legos.

I was really into dinosaurs, and had a bunch of those "scientifically accurate" dinosaur toys. Like the kind they sell in museums, and also for some reason in art supply stores... as reference models I guess? I can't remember the brand. But they didn't have moveable joints. They were just solid hard plastic. Must've had like 50 of those things. I used to know all the Latin names for the different kinds of dinosaurs and everything.

Oh, also when I was a wee little kid I was into Star Wars toys. I'm surprised no one mentioned Star Wars yet, I don't think.
