Apparently Yuji Naka got arrested for insider trading. He and some others bought stocks in Square-Enix because they were about to announce a new Dragon Quest mobile game, and DQ is fucking HUGE in Japan, so that would definitely make their stocks rise.

The female cat keeps demanding to be let out, even though it's cold now. So instead of denying her and listening her whiny meows, I just let her out. She always comes back in about five seconds later.

Anyone know what breed my late cat was? Neither my brother or his ex knew. From what I've found, the most likely one is a ragdoll cat. They've got fluffy fur, most images I've seen give them predominantly white fur, and they all have tails that look like small versions of those long feather dusters, just like he did.

EDIT: Wikipedia says they also tend to be very affectionate, plus this picture they have looks a hell of a lot like him, just with more bulk and blue eyes.

Everyone have a good Thanksgiving? We made some maple bars and this Mexican-style dish that consisted of corn, diced peppers and onion, salt and pepper, sweet corn powder, some whipping cream, and a layer of shredded cheese on top. The maple bars were a big hit!

We were at an aunt and uncle's house. They have this dog who was pretty small when she was young and looked almost like a stuffed animal, but really exploded in size over the years. She's practically the size of a small horse now. Her name is Violet, bit they should have starts calling her Ultraviolet when she grew.

Decided to get Chex Quest HD on Switch since it was on sale for $2. It's a 3D remake of the original, which was a kid-friendly Doom mod. It's, uh... definitely worth the $2. There's only five levels, no difficulty selection, and the only real replay value comes from there being six playable characters with their own voices, personalities, and endings. It plays fairly well, being based on a classic FPS. The only bug I ran into, aside from mild lag, was one that made your hands invisible in the final section.

Frankly, I think porting over the original (and its sequels) would have been better. Doom has plenty of modern ports, they got General Mills' approval to remake it, and people obviously loved the original. It would have gone over well and gotten a good sales boost for Chex. Maybe they didn't do it because the original was just advertising the cereal, while the remake adds shilling for Chex Mix, with the new characters being based on its unique ingredients (and a female Chexguy for the wheat Chex).

If we ever get another cat, I hope it's fluffy just like my buddy was. When you've spent years getting cuddled by an affectionate little fluffball like that, cats with regular fur just don't cut it. Even when our female cat had all her fur, she wasn't as enjoyable to pet as our ragdoll was. Of course, her being naturally less affectionate didn't help her case.

I gave some of the pecan bars from Thanksgiving to my elderly neighbor, though because she removed the doorbell and locks the screen door, I couldn't give them directly and left them on her porch bench (don't worry, they were in a paper bag and labeled as a gift from me). Today, she gave me a small plate of homemade brownies and a thank you card in return.

I'm watching Arkham Series' walkthrough of Gotham Knights, and there's one really weird decision the developers made. You're fully allowed to pull/knock enemies off buildings, even from heights no person could survive. If you scan an enemy that fell off, they're listed as unconscious. So, either your character secretly plants advanced invisible cushions on every enemy, or the criminals of Gotham are just THAT durable, which explains a lot. Or maybe they survived, but will spend the rest of their life as a vegetable with half of their bones agonizingly broken. Justice!

The Arkham games prevented this by having invisible barriers on rooftops so if you knocked down an enemy next to a ledge, they'd just bounce off it. If you did a ledge takedown, Batman would always attach a tether to them first so they'd dangle harmlessly. Even in the 2018 Spiderman game, enemies knocked off buildings would get automatically webbed to the side, and I'm assuming the same happens in the Miles Morales follow-up.

Decided to get a rod-and-string toy for the female cat as an early Christmas gift. I kinda get the impression she's bored at times, plus I wanna get her to like me more now that my buddy is gone. She seems to be liking it! It comes with various "lures" to attach for her to chase around. She seems to like the one that looks like a worm the most, probably because it looks like a living thing. It came with two rods, so I gave one to my brother along with some extra lures.

Just got one of my wisdom teeth taken out. After getting the tooth in front of it pulled in 2019, that gave it free real estate to start growing in. After a while, I could tell it was a ticking time bomb that would eventually bite me, literally and metaphorically. The dentist agreed with me.

It went amazingly quick, too. After getting numbed, it only took what seemed like a couple minutes to pluck the whole thing out. Now, I just need to obey the post-extraction advice.
