... just how bad the food scene is in Massachusetts. I'm sad. Practically every place I ate at was a sit-down 5 star restaurant with plates I wish I could find here at that quality. Man, Chicago peeps. You eat good.

Yeah I was in Chicago last week and everything we ate was delicious. Never been to Massachusetts but it never struck me as a culinary capital

My ex was from Mass and we were out drinking here in San Diego and there was a food truck for every type of food and her reaction was like "the only food truck i ever see is chick fil a back home"

The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench.
Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.

Chick fil a food truck? ..... I never see that. And Boston has a lot of food trucks. Roxy's Grilled Cheese. Naco Taco. Blazed Pizza. Zo. Cookie Monstah. Bon Me. And that's just off the top of my head. There's definitely a lot. Not sure where in Mass she lives.

It really isn't. It shocks me that it isn't though since it is like, the closest bigger city in the US to Europe. It was crazy how many sit-down restaurants I would see not even in the Chicago downtown areas and how literally all places were good food. Back home now and I know I am going to miss it all.

I'm having flashbacks to the Family Guy ipecac scene.

"Who wants chowdah!?"

Isnt Chicago one of the only cities that you can get a Michelin Star? I assume talented chefs flock to those cities because they want to be known.

To be fair, Chicago is the foodie city.

Like, you can't go to Nebraska and say "Wow I never realized how bad Massachusetts' cornstalk scene is".

Just read some article about how a tv show, The Bear, is popularizing the Italian Beef across the country. Warms my heart.

My mother always wants to come with me to Chicago just for those things. My friend when I went there the first time, told me to try Portillos and to get the Italian Beef 'baptized' in their au jus there. We did it and she was in heaven. This is the second time I been to the area since it's been more..... open? .... And tried more local specialties. It's crazy good. On top of it, my friend and her husband themselves are practically 4 star chefs too. Got me to try and like foods I didn't think I would.

did you see a police officer with a tattoo that said "I did it for the Lord" and "I did it for Chicago" while you were there? >_>

I was around Oakbrook. I went into Chicago for just one day and it was mostly just to do an escape room + Wendella. Closest thing to this I experienced was a pretty aggressive Lyft driver with a "Jesus Christ" hat on.

As far as cops go, I did encounter cops there. I got into a bus accident yesterday in Oakbrook and had to write a witness report.

If you seek Greek, go to a place that ignites Saganaki, like Greek Islands. Soooooo good and lemony.

The Bear is incredible, definitely watch it. Made me miss living in Chicago even more. Luckily I moved to the Bay Area, one of the few places in the US with as good a food scene.
