The whole world could look at you shake their head and say you are a worthless loser. You could be someone who is the old cliche never even talked to a girl before or whatever stupid thing young people are hung up on today.

And none of it matters. As long as you do not believe yourself a loser, you have won.

This is literally what confidence is.

If the world at large thinks you're a loser, your opportunities would be very limited. You'd have no choice but to play that role.

Most people don't think about others that much and the world doesn't care about you though.

There is such a thing as false confidence. It can also be delusional thinking.

Also its hard to be confident if you havent had the building blocks to know what that is. Its not that simple

Victory is a state of mind.

This is why people you would define as won the world are found to be horribly depressed or do something rash and lose it all.
Often the driving factor is even envy of one you might define as a loser who is simply confident.

I was being hyperbolic. Truth is the whole world never identifies someone or something as worthless.

Look at politics. One mans trash is another mans treasure.

It is also impossible to have no one think you are a loser.
Always some amount of people will think you are a loser no matter what you do.

Yeah but the number of people who think that is smaller, it's more advantageous for you. The truth is that for most people, climbing out of the mud will be impossible no matter how confident they are. They require opportunity and some people will always fail. We only ever hear success stories, where luck is often a factor. Everyone else will be left in the dirt, where the world says they belong. That's just the reality of our existence. After all, we can't all be winners. If everyone is super, no one will be.

Confidence is an artificial invention.

in nature, there is no confidence. Animals have to look for predators (which makes them look the opposite of confident), and if youre an apex predators you have to be on the lookout for prey, which means you want to be silent, blend in with the environment and be ready to attack.

Being a loser isn't solely based on one's own level of self-confidence.

Basically. Real tangible results weighed vs your goals and opportunities in life dictate if you're a loser or not. Mindset is nothing without action.

Someone who is unhappy and dislikes themselves? That could not describe this delusional person you claim my op describes.

What is a winner?
Someone who is rich, has a hot wife, has the respect of masses of people but goes into a bathroom, looks in the mirror and wishes they were never born because they see themselves as worthless and broken?

Confidence really is key, just don't let it bleed over into arrogance.

Project confidence and security, and others will pick up on it.
Make a mistake? Own it.
Make a fool of yourself? Don't dismiss it; roll with the punch and turn it into a positive to at least somewhat de-sour the situation.
Stand tall.
Speak loud, proud, and clearly.
Be direct, but not too direct.

You can be ugly as sin, but confidence goes a long way to masking that.

I agree. Im weird as fuck. But because I stand behind my weirdness, I notice people end up getting it rubbed off on them when they're around me a lot lol. Which isn't a one way street, as I also start developing their quirks too. Then I love how it makes the connection deeper.
