Or at the very least, not the perfect and benevolent creatures most crime shows want us to think they are?

They sometimes depict bad cops but it's never the main characters. A year or 2 ago, a show on CBS called SWAT had a season long arc where one of the main characters worked to expose a group of racist corrupt cops within the department

a ton of them. Hell We own this city just came out this year.

Law & Order had a lot of episodes about dirty cops, medical examiners, judges, and attorneys. Also took a number of shots at the concept of the "Blue Wall".

The main character of SVU for many years was a cop with severe PTSD who openly wished he could murder criminals.

I can't even watch Chicago PD. The cops break so many damn laws every episode, lol. This might be the closest thing, but they're still portrayed in a positive light.

The Wire

The example that immediately comes to mind is that there's an episode where some guy (I'm pretty sure it was a borderline kid) mouths off to a cop and the cop starts beating the shit out of him. Kima, the most level-headed cop we've seen so far rushes over; in a typical show, you expect her to separate them. Instead, she pulls the other cop off and starts beating the guy's ass too.

There was this one cop show that aired for one season on TNT that definitely had more a negative out look on cops than the average cop show.

There were some cops who had personal drama/issues but one cop was shown to be exceedingly dirty. He killed a suspect but then covered it up and tried to blame it on some rival gang member. That sets off a chain reaction of events in the last part of the season.

Show got cancelled after one season, because IRL cops were getting massively butt hurt over it. The irony being that real cops have long since been filmed doing much worse than what was portrayed in the show.
