The best use of the crown though was solving a puzzle by bringing in Detective Chimp... who in a minute told the team where the item they were looking for was and it was a place they already went, except they didn't go inside to check. This was either right before or right after also finding one of these items out of sequence. It was a hell of a ride to watch.

We had to find Riddler Trophies to get access to Riddler's territory. When we got the riddle to the next one, we pretty quickly went 'oh, the building that Vicki Vale is using as the Gazette!' and went there. Up until that point, the Trophies had been on top of buildings or outside so we scoured around, found nothing and decided we must have been wrong.

Way later after many more failed attempts we called in Chimp and he instantly pointed us to the Vicki Vale's building again. We tried to protest but he was firm and we went and knocked on the door and asked Vicki about it and she just handed us the trophy... oops.

#50: Pocus

The little magical bunny of Zatanna... now protector of Misty!

So Pocus is a strange one, right from the get go you could see she's got an attitude about her. Even before I was able to speak with her, I knew she was a bit stuck up.

Since Misty is... difficult to deal with, a bunch of the PCs wanted me to chat with Pocus so we could try and find out a bit more. And more we did!

But that's all plotty stuff that you all are pretty aware of at this point. Pocus on the other hand is a different beast all together.

You never really know if this rabbit ACTUALLY has magic or not, because the way her "magic" works is that things will just happen when she wants something to go a certain way. A leaf falling down, a random pebble that you step on and cause a chain reaction... things like that.

Data 7 has become aware with it though and after doing Try Outs for Big Troubles, Patch wanted Pocus on board for the team.

Data 7 is often on the receiving end of Pocus' spells, usually the butt of the joke from them, but he still sees value in her abilities... or... luck? After all, if Pocus is on their team, they couldn't possibly fail, Pocus would just use her magic to make things work out!

This wasn't quite enough to pop Pocus into my top 50 though. She's pretty alright, but not usually the personality that sticks with me. What DID get her here though was when Prowley was brought back to Z'onn Z'orr.

Data 7 wanted to chat with Prowley... because well... he's Prowley. But when he went to look for him, Prowley was eating up all of Misty's time... and there was Pocus, off to the side, completely furious about this.

Data 7 was like, well, let's see what's going on here. He asks Pocus if there's a way he can get Prowley away from Misty... and well... that's when Pocus just kind of goes off on a rant. She spends the next several minutes going on and on about Prowley and how he's the worst and going to ruin EVERYTHING. And Data 7 is just standing there kinda like... man I just wanted to play with Prowley, what did I get myself into?

But that's what got her here. I like characters showing weakness and flaws and seeing her struggle and rant like that made me enjoy her character more. Good job for Pocus!

Mrs. Tusky

I can't believe this is where Aria ranks, but here I am.

I never tire of Pocus. She's a phenomenal background character and she's such a visual character - I enjoy a silent conversation, and she can provide those, much like Bat-Boy.

I think what was really neat was you were able to portray her personality perfectly without any dialog for her first bits. And when she finally spoke, it was exactly what I expected lol

Vicky Vale

Dont have much to say on Tanakata or Dex-Starr because Ive been largely out of the loop on them.

Hector was a sweetheart in Campaign 1, and in the post-campaign wrap-up, we got a title card that hed died in the post-campaign of No Mans Land, and it genuinely made me tear up, thinking about one of our good friends living to a ripe old age, and then passing in the company of his best friend Catman. Then campaign two happened and FUCK EVERYTHING. That was heartbreaking, and even Crystal Hector being benevolent is still bittersweet.

Pocus, meanwhile, is adorable. Whether Misty is puppeting her, or Pocus is explaining how shes the REAL star of Zatannas magic act, her weird persona is fun whenever she gets to be on-screen.

#49: Harley Quinn

There's Harley!

Harley is too good and fun of a character not to make my top 52. Data 7 has only had one real encounter with her but I think they make a good combo. I've never felt the need to really dig into it more though, there's a bunch of PCs that get her a lot of screen time and I think it's okay for every character not to have a super in depth relationship with every PC.

A lot of the humor comes from Harley's relationship with Brennus and I won't lie... THAT has been discussed a LOT. We don't need rehashing of it. But it IS good soup.

I've played around with the idea of having Data 7 go to her for PSYCHOLOGICAL ADVICE, but it's just a bit too far out of character for me to really make it work. I as a player would only be sending him there for the humor... which is a good, but I feel other PCs fit that bill better.

One thing I'll note about Harley is that she has two hyenas! Bud and Lou! I love them both. Bud has definitely gotten the most screen time of the two and it's not really spoilers to anyone that he'll be showing up later on the list. But how we get back to Harley on this is that she uh... she's been looking for her babies.

Bud and Lou are currently helping the remaining bat family along with Oracle so uh... that's one tidbit that we've been hiding from her. As much as I'd love to bring Bud and Lou back to Z'onn Z'orr, one for Harley, and two for myself... they are currently helping Oracle out, running around with their GoPros.

I think Brennus recently let it slip to Harley that Bud and Lou are in Gotham so I feel like future discussions on the topic may lead Harley to demanding them being brought here. Or maybe she'll just hop on a Gotham mission with us to see / take them. Who knows?!

Either way, I can tell Scar always has a ton of fun when he gets to play Harley, and it shows in the RP whenever a PC goes to her. I'm curious to see how she'll develop as the campaign goes on and see what other shenanigans that her and Brennus get up to.

Hint for #48: Harley Quinn cannot fly. This character can fly.

I would never have guessed Harley would make your list! She always seemed to be the sort of character that you would be irked by, a center-of-attention type. That's pretty cool, honestly!

#48: Talon the Hawk

His picture might not show it, but this bird has a lot of personality! Or at least... an attitude.

Talon was one of the two birds that frequently showed up while we were on our huge Convoy mission. He was the partner of Bird, a human who was working for Bane. I say WAS because Bird was one of the very few causalities that occurred in our final Convoy mission, which I feel at least partially responsible for :(

Talon made it out though and he's currently staying with us at Z'onn Z'orr.

What's Talon like?

Well, like I mentioned, he's pretty much exactly how you'd expect a hawk to be. He would frequently soar down on us PCs and try to steal stuff from our packs. He had a particular interest in Spirit's pack but Data 7 would often lure Talon over with chips and things like that, or just give him something to steal to make him happy.

Talon would often take these things back to Bird... who often didn't even have a use for the thing and we'd end up with the item back anyways. But it's definitely the thought that counts, and Talon loves getting the upper 'talon' on people.

Talon at the moment though... is quite sad. After all, his partner perished in the final fight and now doesn't really have anyone. I had Data 7 spend some time with him, try and make him feel a bit better, but it's definitely going to take some time, I imagine they had been together for many years.

Talon would like to see that Bird's body be properly buried, perhaps here at Z'onn Z'orr, but that would require a return trip and I think I gotta have Data 7 check in with Bane on that one. Just another thing on the to-do list haha.

I do quite enjoy Talon though. He's a bird of few words, even in animal speak, he doesn't say much. But I quite enjoyed his presence throughout the Convoy and was always thinking of ways I could get him more involved and everything. <3 Talon.

Hint for #47:

In terms of morality, this character is probably one of the lowest on my list. Lotsa Evil!

I thought Talon might not rank, honestly. I figured he would come like one or two shy.

Talon made a brief appearance in campaign 1 where he would steal from the party. It was cute to see Spirit protect his bag at all times whenever this bird was around.

#47: Ragdoll

Bit of an odd pick here, but I am constantly enjoying Scar's portrayal of this character. The visual comedy of him either injuring himself or giving himself different types of torture always give me a smile. It's great to see every time whenever a PC goes up to the Secret Six floor and they are greeted with Ragdoll... doing SOMETHING crazy.

In terms of Datadog's experience with Ragdoll, I quite enjoy the pair together. I've had Data 7 go to him to have him learn the acts of torture. Data 7 himself is definitely more along the lines of gray morality and I enjoy having him dip his toes into the darker side of things. Data 7 still has a good heart though... for the most part so the first lesson didn't go exactly as planned.

Data 7 had brought a Skartaran Society person back to Z'onn Z'orr to do questioning on and Data 7 brought them to Ragdoll so that they could "pry" answers out of.

Two problems arose right away. One, this person could barely speak english... and two, they weren't actually a bad person, well, not that bad, I'm pretty sure they were just doing what they had to to survive.

So while Data 7 did follow Ragdoll's advice and proceed with the torture to pry out answers, it left a bit of a bitter taste in his mouth. He can definitely be good and bad dog. But his hope was that he'd be able to "practice" on someone actually evil... at least in his mind.

This SORT of leads into his relationship with Brutale, someone Data 7 is very close to, and also someone who is quite proficient in the act of torture. After all, he IS our head interrogator at the moment. (Spoilers Brutale is on the list too)

But with those things aside, I do enjoy Ragdoll as a character. He hits that humor that I quite enjoy and it'd be interesting to see if his and Data 7's relationship could develop. I COULD have Data 7 go to him more for more lessons, but it might be pushing Data 7 into uncomfortable territory if it's done on the Skataran that they brought back.

Hint for #46:

First big hitter to fall, amongst the guessers. This character was guessed 4 times out of 7 to make my top 20.

For reference, I had people guess my top 20 and there were 7 lists submitted.

This character was on 4 of those top 20 lists.

I could see Starro ranking lower than expected, if only because Ermine tends to focus on other animals over her.

#46: Starro the Cat

That face. It speaks a million words, but also none at all at the same time.

Starro is an OG. I think the first animal character we came across in Campaign 2? And Datadog rescued her and brought her back to her Snapper Carr. You guys have heard all about Snapper... well, a decent amount but you haven't heard much on Starro!

I'll be giving a little amount because I can't do writeups like Vis. Mm mm. No way!

Anyways, Starro is... what you'd probably expect from that picture honestly and is VERY much a cat. She can be feisty, loving, caring, attention seeking, standoffish, manipulative and has a stare that will look deep into your soul.

Starroface itself has definitely turned in a meme of sorts and Scar will not hesitate to pull it out of the bag whenever Starro is near or involved in a scene.

It's good stuff.

Data 7 and Starro's relationship though has... been an interesting one. One of the first, important moments that was an interesting reveal to me was that...

Starro has a crush on Data 7! The white furred cat likes the white furred dog!

And how it came about was...

Well let's take a step back.

Campaign 1 I didn't really have Artemis explore any sort of romantics. He was still a bit too young for that so I left that to the rest of the PCs... and boy did they like doing the romantics!

Campaign 2 I definitely wanted to explore it a bit more because I was pretty much labeled as the ROMANTICS HATER in C1. And it's not that I hate it in the slightest, it's that, a lot of the romantics that I saw in C1 just weren't really my thing.

So I've brought my own Data / Artemis brand of romantics! My doggo is super affectionate, but also very rough when it comes to his love. He wants to fight, he wants to play, he wants to lick and love... but not everyone wants that. In fact a lot of characters don't want that!

This is where Pixie enters (and yes, she'll be coming later in the list...), Data 7 and Pixie staaaaarted to have some sort of relationship, but both dogs want something else from the other, they aren't really satisfied completely with each other's personalities.

Eventually Datadog wanted to make Pixie jealous, make her have to acquiesce to his manner of romance or that she might get left behind. So... Datadog went to Starro for girl advice!

This was the first time that it became apparent that Starro liked Data 7, and Data 7, with his 1 knowledge stat, was completely oblivious to her meanings and approaches. Data 7, along with a bit of Starro's planning, would end up using Rover to try and make Pixie jealous...

????

#45: Rover

So Data 7 tried to pretend that he was in a relationship with Rover, Alice's dog!

Not that Data 7 minded doing as such, he actually decently likes Rover, despite him being a complete dumbass with likely a negative knowledge stat.

Adding a side note here: Data 7 is bi. He likes both males and females. If it wasn't obvious for the rest of the players already.

Anyways, so this plan with Rover completely failed. Data 7 kept trying to get Rover to give him licks and show him different sorts of affection, but in true Rover standards, he botched it all and really the only the Pixie got out of it was that she thought Data 7 was gay and didn't have any interest in HER whatsoever.

Not exactly the take that Data 7 wanted.

Fastforward to going back to Starro for advice... and now we have her suggesting that Data 7 and Starro form a relationship, to make Pixie jealous!

And if you know Starro, this isn't her just wanting to help Data 7 out, this is her literally trying to trick him into getting close with her!

UNFORTUNATELY for Starro, Data 7 is still very oblivious to the fact as he has zero romantic interest in Starro. It's very sad... but... Data 7 still loves to be affectionate and play, so he plays along with Starro and so they made a mockery of poor Pixie, who probably... maybe... didn't deserve it. Who can say?

And so that's kind of where it left off. I believe Starro definitely does still have feelings for Data 7, but they haven't played around or done anything like that since. Perhaps she'll try and manipulate Data 7 more... perhaps we'll see something else... but in the meantime, BIG TROUBLES was just getting underway, and god, it needed an Accountant.

That's where Starro comes in. We only had a few positions in Big Troubles figured out, but Data 7 had determined that we absolutely needed an Accountant. And who better to fill that position than Starro!

Right?

And so that's how Starro became one of the first members of Big Troubles. And she dealt with the money that the organization has gained through their first mission which was finding a huge missile up on the surface of Antarctica. Starro even landed the final finishing blow on the giant undeadish penguin that was standing in their way. It was pretty epic.

We're getting around to starting the second Big Troubles mission and we may need to commission a bit of extra help. That's where Starro comes in again, she's gonna make sure we spend our money appropriately and efficiently. Because she's the accountant.

Here comes Rover again!

Coming in at 45th is Rover who you have all heard a bit about already.

Rover is a good boy. But he's also an idiot. Data 7 loves to play with Rover. He'll often shrink down to a tiny size and roll around Rover, pretending to be a ball.

Rover doesn't really understand how to play ball. He'll often eventually fall over due to Databall giving him a smack or just existing is enough sometimes.

He's very loyal to Alice though, and whilst there really isn't too much to Rover himself, I still very much welcome his presence. I always have fun messing around with him and causing him exaggerated agony.

One of my favorite things is Brennus and Rover will be "playing" ball. And I'll have Data 7 roll in as a ball. Shenanigans will occur that will leave Brennus on the floor, confused, with Databall rolling off in one direction, and Rover in the other, the scene ending immediately.

Poor Brennus.

Rover is a good boy.

Both Rover and Starro were introduced pretty early on in the campaign. This character was also introduced early on!
