Gotta keep the kids desperate and poor so they can think the military is their only chance at financial success and go die for rich assholes

Also not really sure how forgiving loans for people who have already begun college will mess with military recruitment of people who havent enrolled in college yet

Gotta dangle a carrot to send young men and women to die in a foreign country since you don't actually take care of veterans?

Want to fix recruitment numbers?

Make it legal for soldiers to drink at 18.

(it'll never happen but bet your sweet ass everyone would join then)

It's more like the newer generation of kids have seen how this country treats both its poor and its veterans (with lots of overlap between the two groups) and realized this country isn't worth dying for

I can't imagine anyone being in support of what he's saying.
Especially when one becomes aware that the severe student loan problem is exclusive to the United States. College is FREE in the majority of other countries and in some of the other countries that do charge money, they only charge a reasonable amount which won't put it's students into eternal debt. The U.S is the only country that's going to the extreme by putting it's students in drowning debt (which obviously isn't good for the future of the U.S for several reasons). Would be nice if all high school guidance counselors in general in the U.S would make this information more well known to students and their parents, but the vast majority of them don't for whatever reasons.

NOTE:
That $75,772 amount use to be the average.
It's MUCH higher now.
