i remember when LoL was the hip hotness in 2010-2015 and every single college kid played it, nowadays that seems to be Valorant

whereas now LoL has a reputation as being the "nerd game, for those uglier and much smellier nerds", the nerds who are to nerds what nerds are to normal people, similar to how maybe Warhammer 40k came across to millennials

hey man thanks for your reply. i hope you're having a really great saturday. it's sunny and a breezy 59 F here in seattle, which is a great reprieve from the abysmal heat we had last month. anywho, in the opening post of this topic i explained how there's been a big of a demographic shift in the perception of LoL's target audience, which is independent from it having a general reputation for toxicity. thanks again for your reply and keep on gaming, gamer.

Mobas aren't exactly beginner friendly, and the newer generation have their own games.

Shockingly, not many people want to enter into a community where you'll be told to kill yourself because you made a mistake or played the game poorly.

So I guess the only real difference is that people have a lower opinion of the game as well as the community.

yeah that game was super popular in my highschool. i knew a couple of classmates that missed a few days of school to attend a tournament in tokyo.

it's nothing compared to how it used to be but it's still alright. definitely not warhammer status lol
