Charizard is a global icon. Bowser is of course definitely not your traditional type of dragon, and it's so subtle that you can easily make a case for him being just a turtle like Gamera, but I think fans of the series myself included definitely tend to forget that Bowser was originally depicted as a dragon at the end of a dungeon, breathing fire, surrounded by demonny lava, and with a hide of scales as hard as a rock. Top ten. Dragonite is of course a sort of anti-thesis or cousin of Charizard, and is just as recognizable and influential Who doesn't have a Mortal Kombat logo shirt? ;) Ridley is arguably more of a pterodactyl than anything, but his original appearance was something of an alien dragon, and he owes much of his design along with Kraid to Bowser. Definitely enough dragon there to count. In newer games, Ridley's depictions became more and more dragonlike. A character who wears the dragon association with a badge of honor and subtlety, much like Bowser to whom he owes his roots rather directly. Alduin is extremely recognizable and a legendary dragon of video games Seath might not seem like he has much going on for him, but story divers like me know otherwise. Also a legendary dragon by name alone Monster Hunter has been forwarding how dragons are programmed and fought in games for generations now Spyro is a huge part of the last two generation's childhood, or something along those lines, and tends to come up in discussions of dragons just as a successful mascot type character at the very least Panzer Dragoon perfected the rail shooter genre ... Kiryu & Grigori are excellent additions! I'm not 100% Bowser should be there either, but it's funny and at leeast partly true. Also, Charizard is definitely a dragon. In like a wyvern way. ...
