Inside, probably. Less rocking and I would be hoping to do nothing other than sleep in there. I dont really understand expensive room upgrades: Ill spend that money on food or excursions.

Everyone can have a suite, it's on me. We'll go on the 10 million per person world cruise. Only, we have to dress like the upper crust did in the Titanic movie and pretend we all come from old money. And you have to say, "Yaaas..." and act pompous and grandiose.

So last cruise I went to was a deluxe balcony and it basically had a bit of extra space with a couch, and the balcony you could stand on and look out. Anyone can go outside though and stand on balcony's anytime they want.

Since you get no extra space (ours was a junior suite, not just balcony), and even the full suites don't really have much space (They were all in the same rows so we saw them passing by), it's just not worth it price wise......UNLESS.

The suites with the couch can sleep 3 people (in different beds) since the couch folds out). That lets you split the cost 3 ways, and can be cheaper per person than the inside cabins for only 2 people. A third person adds a very small amount (if the first 2 are $3k, the additional 3rd is like $400).

So if you get an inside room at $1200 per person, you pay $2400 all together (not including all the other fees etc that everyone pays and the $15 tip a day per person etc).

That is $2400 total and $1200 per person.

If you get a suite it's $3300 or so total, or $1100 per person, you get a balcony of your own, and a tiny bit more space.

Anyway, I don't really think cruises are worth it myself, I've gone on two. In both cases I would WAY rather have flown to a destination, rented a nice hotel, and gone out to eat at places that served exactly what I wanted and were high quality.

The buffet on cruises pretty much suck and that is your only option for breakfast and lunch. You can eat at speciality resteraunts, but end up paying as much as you would to do that (on top of your base price) as you would on land anyway (and the food, while better than the buffet, isn't up to the standards of any $50 a plate places on land).

There are some tricks you can do to make the cruise cheaper, like using onboard credit to get cash directly from the casino (convert it on a slot machine, then cash out and get cash directly for it). If you book a trip while on a trip, they usually give you a significant ($600 or so) amount of onboard credit for the next trip. IF your next trip would be $1100 a peron like above, that $600 actually drops it down to only $500 total for the trip (10 day trip in that case, so only $50 a day base (+15$ a day tip, and a few other expenses would make you end up around $80 a day total probably for a suite, with 3 people).

If you get a hotel room for 3 people your lucky to get one in most places that is at least 3 stars and decent, for anywhere less than $120 (which is $40 each), which leaves you only $40 or so to spend on food/transportation etc each day to break even.

That being said, I'd rather spend a bit more, avoid the boat, and just relax on my own schedule anywhere I go. Most of the cruise ports are literal tourist traps where everything is mega expensive, and all the food places are crazy crowded.

Also you can have outbreaks on ships even without covid where everyone ends up getting sick with the flu etc, the entertainment can often suck donkey balls, and you often end up at sea for at least a few days.

IF you are going to go on a cruise, I highly suggest doing it with people you really like, and unless you just got married to them and are about to have a bunch of sex for most of the cruise, try and go with more then a few people you like, that will keep you from getting bored hopefully.

Yeah, so I don't know what any of those words mean; I guess a suite so I don't have to mingle with the other poors if I don't want to, and if I play it right I can get free stuff by inferring I'm "slumming it" while everyone else drinks and fucks themselves into a stupor.

But, no. Thankyou. I will not be participating in your floating Petri dish megacity that will be left to rot and decay in a cruise ship graveyard in just twenty years or so.

Cars are an inefficient means of transportation that cause their own environmental problems; our over reliance on them, combined with built in obselesence, we absolutely should stop using them to the extent we currently do.

Sometimes during rush hour when you think of all the cars for as far as you can see and all the gas and oil being used every second of every day x all those areas around the world, it's really insane.

I rode one as a kid, but I don't remember it. Apparently it was from Jersey to Manhattan or NYC or wherever my Dad worked. I don't even remember boarding or being on the things. I do remember going to a Yankees game on one. I remember that whole day well. Memory is strange.

So are some islands in the Caribbean (which I used to frequent) and the west / east coast has plenty of cruises. There is just too much to see and do on the main land of the US, IMO.

My #1 cruise to recommend is the North-east in the Autumn. Starts in NY and goes up to Maine, Prince Edward Island, Quebec City and other spots. If you are a from a climate that doesn't experience Autumn, it's a great experience.

You personally? No clue.

In general it would be nice if people recognized that Hawaii only became a state because of a coup led by corporate interests and the Hawaiians would very much like their islands back.

Some people would be more than happy to stop pouring billions of taxpayers dollars into the Hawaiian infrastructure.

They do. First Nations across the globe are standing up for their rights and have been for decades now, using and trusting societal institutions, (as people often complain the disenfranchised should do) it's not exactly breaking headline news at six.

The pipeline and deforestation protests got more air time with videos of "violent rioters" clashing with brave police officers servicing and protecting corporate interests.

The closure of rail lines was an escalation but the Pandemic quieted them down with no return so far reported.

Cruise Line's along the Canadian coastline are under strict regulations because of the catastrophic damage they can cause to First Nations ways of life.
