The issue with stories like these is that Republicans stopped paying attention once they landed in Martha's Vineyard. They're so busy high fiving one another that they're never going to notice the response.

Very good point. Martha Vineyard residents are helping out, like people should do. But if more people continue to arrive in Martha Vineyard, would it become problematic? How many people can Martha Vineyard handle without attempting to relocate them somewhere else?

It's okay to ask for help. Plenty of cities are willing to accept immigrants. The problem is that desantis and Abbott didn't ask, they just threw them somewhere that wasn't expecting or prepared for them.
