and maybe he means like big superhero movies as an actor, or starting on superheroes, or making your stake on them. Superhero is a broad term, but looking at it I see how the whole genre can be really hard to escape even as a director. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it's a commitment, and /snip

In all honesty, I can't think of a comic book character I'd want Leo to play. Especially not at his age.

I'm sure comic fans could answer this for me, but is there a charming, good-looking, middle-aged, blond-haired villain? I kinda feel like a character like that could exist -- like if Batman felt he needed his own Lex Luthor. But I can't personally think of anyone.

I really can't see him playing a superhero.

Tbf, DiCaprio seems like a picky dude who has the luxury of picking whatever the fuck he wants. He's only done like 15-20 movies since Titanic and 3 since Wolf.

If anything, Chalamet doing Dune might have the same effects and problems as superhero movies.

Actors do have this latent desire to be "versatile" and thus be able to land a role no matter what it is, but that's also not very realistic and only a few can pull it off.

And yeah, these big budget DCU/MCU films have made household names out of guys who might have faded into obscurity otherwise.

I'm sure they're crying all the way to the bank....
