If you had gotten the ambidextrous booster you could still use both arms.

son of a fuck. This is bad news.

shot #1 did nothing to me but tolerable soreness

shot #2 knocked me on my ass and I felt sick as fuck, but was okay a few hours later after taking a nap

booster #1 had me sick as fuck for a week

(all moderna)

This makes me scared of what will happen when I get this next booster. I fear the trend will continue.

I went the same sequence as TC with my 4th dose done a week ago.

All 4 had same reaction. sore arm and mild body aches for 2 days. nothing terrible.

Anyone know what the recommendation is for which booster to get? I've had 4 Moderna shots, and asked my pharmacist if I should get Pfizer omicron booster. He said since Moderna is bivalent, I should get the Moderna booster.

But afterwards after looking it up I'm a little confused because it looks like both the new Pfizer and Moderna boosters are bivalent

They are both bivalent. I got the J&J primary, then a Moderna booster. I'm getting the Pfizer bivalent on tuesday.Mix 'em up like a cocktail!

I was hoping to get some feedback on them. They're out in my area so I have some time before I get mine.

I got it noon Friday after maining Pfizer for my first three doses. The first two beat the fucking shit out of me with damn near every side effect while the third gave me almost no problems.

For the Moderna, my arm was sore as fuck like an hour later. By the evening, I had a killer headache, was running warm but not feverish, and very tired. Woke up fine the next day but my arm hurt worse and didn't ease up until Monday. Still way better than the first two Pfizers though.

I guess I shoulda looked for the Pfizer then, as I had nothing but a slightly bruised arm for the 2nd dose and booster. Moderna kicked my god damn ass. XD

Doubt it, worked in a pharmacy through the worst of the pandemic, sometimes 6 days a week. Have not had Covid yet, and my last cold was 5 or more years ago.

Not necessarily. It could mean that he's naturally immune.
I am personally naturally immune from chicken pox. I got the shot 3 times while i was in the army before I asked them how many varicella shots I needed. Turns out you only need one. They kept giving it to me because I didn't have the antibodies in my system. Also my mom took me to a "chicken pox party" when I was a kid, and I was the only one who didn't catch it.

Out of my friends and family me and my wife seem to be the only two left that haven't caught covid.

Which either means that the illness we got in Jan 2020 was covid, or we've just been damn lucky. >_>

Yea, happened to me on the Hep B vaccine, took both shots but I was still not making enough antibodies, shrug. Had to also take a Tdap and MMR within a few months, never had a side effect. Only thing that I got a reaction to was TB test because I was vaccinated as a kid. Although maybe it is a sign of a weak immune system, who knows. I also have gout and when it flares up, my immune system goes crazy and causes massive pain and swelling to the affected area.

You can get either. Wonder if they were trying to say all they had was moderna/their Pfizer on hand was not the new bivalent booster or were just recommending stick with what youve gotten

You can still get it again, especially if it's a different variant. That's why there's new vaccines: to give you anti-bodies to them >_>

I did Moderna for the primary two shots and the booster. 1st shot, no side effects except sore arm. 2nd shot, very tired and achy for most of the day 24 hours later. Booster knocked me on my ass for a day with fever, chills, aches, headache.

Getting my updated booster tonight (switching to Pfizer). Not looking forward to side effects, but as long as they aren't any worse than the last time, I won't complain.

Yeah, I got the Moderna bivalent booster last week, and was pretty dead the next day, then kind of dead Saturday, with some muscle soreness for good measure. Weirdly, my arm didnt hurt at all!

It definitely hit harder than any of the previous shots (all three were Pfizer) which is what the nurse who gave it to me said she was hearing.

That's how the previous ones worked, so I assume that's the case for these too.

Hopefully it'll drive positivity down some, at least for the winter.

every moderna shot has done this to me. the next day so tired and sore i just schedule a sick day if i can, and do as little as possible if i can't. luckily, day 2 is better and day 3 is back to normal
