Dark Tetras are my favs but they DO have the drawback that you are kept stationary for a second after a dodge roll.

Same with the regular dualies. I thought the squelchers didn't have that issue and you also shot more immediately after dodging

Dualie Squelchers

When you dodge roll with them, your character holds them together such that they resemble the Dual Squelcher, a weapon from Splatoon 1

Also dodge rolling with them is really good anyways because they can move immediately out of a dodge roll

Wave Breaker is also an amazing special that I feel a lot of people sleep on. Solid support kit

Well with the 4 rolls, youve hopefully either retreated to safety, or dpsed then to death (especially since you can shoot during a roll) because its difficult to track rolls close-range

Like, I get how to use dualies. I used squelchers and tetras and others plenty in 2. I know how to dodge roll and how it focuses your shots until you move again. It's just that when other people use the same ones in the same situations, their shots often seem longer and deadlier with or without rolling. Idk if it's lag or just salty bias, but I'm enjoying TW way less now than I did in 2.

Matchmaking seems kinda fucked. I'm not complaining because I'm benefitting from it at the moment >.> but I feel bad for people getting placed against teams they have no chance against.

I've had similar things using the Dualie Squelchers almost exclusively as well (mained in 2 also). I find certain weapons have consistently outranged me when I feel they shouldn't. When I go up against opposing same weapon tho, I go about 50/50. Usually they'll pop me with a bomb or just get slight initiative but half the time I hold my own.

I'm also on Team Gear and will be playing some tomorrow and Sunday. Gear seems ok to me so far.

I joined Team Gear but haven't had a chance to play yet.

Usually being on the most popular team is a hinderance because you get all of the bad players

Honestly, I wouldn't put it past the horrendous netcode on splat3 if what happened was that you got caught in the lulls in the action update. They have a bizarrely low refresh rate on their server, and what happens was that they see you way closer and you see them further away. When the characters are that fast, it's not completely out of the question

I don't understand why they make somebody disconnecting result in like everybody getting punished either. At least in Splatfest, you lose out on the 10x/100x chances for like no reason

I hate that the big feature to Splatfests this time is incredibly rare to actually get into.

I feel like matchmaking was messed up the first day, it was obvious some of the people I was playing were really unskilled and I could get away with things I really shouldn't have been able to. By day two things seemed to have levelled out but it took me a bit to adjust because I got used to being able to do things I wouldn't be able to against more skilled players.

Maybe you went through something similar?

I mained spatlings in 2. I preferred the hydra but you can be more aggressive with the heavy for sure. Sucks they ruined the mini.

I'm using more close ranged shooters this time around though personally. They seem to be the best for solo q since they can slay and turf fairly well. Certain weapons I really like but are really dependent on your teammates.

I'm basically gonna be a long time Splattershot Pro man I think, but in 3, I'm maining the bubblies, or whatever it was called. That weapon is so fun and so creative, it's basically like playing a different game. Though honestly, it's like almost impossible to kill a person jumping everywhere

I'm the opposite. I suck at midrange weapons because my force of habit is to rush the enemy. With really long range weapons, it gives me enough room to not do it in the heat of the moment and with close range it's ideal, but with midrange I end up just taking away the best advantage they have lol

Bloblobber. Also I like the Splattershot Pro but hate its kit. Angle Shooter is somehow a worse Point Sensor, and Point Sensor is dogshit.

Angle shooter is 1000% better than point sensor and works great with splattershot pro. If you hit 2 shots with the pro and the enemy gets out of your range you can kill confirm with the angle shooter which has insane range.

Yeah if you can aim with it, that Angle Shooter one is a godsend. 2 Hits with Pro and a hit with the Angle Shooter is a kill, but obviously it's really hard to hit, but the range is basically a sniper.

Actually if you can hit them with it twice, it's also a kill. It's incredibly hard to do though

Why am I punished for my internet being crappy and disconnecting but we're all just supposed to accept their servers being crappy and disconnecting?

Played against an extremely good Splattershot Pro with insane Angle Shooter plays today. Got me good tbh.

Today I had an unstable connection warning and couldn't move, but the match wouldn't cancel itself. Eventually there was just one other player left in the match and me and I could suddenly move again. I sought out the other player, saw they were also moving, and proceeded to have a 1v1 turf war. I got some safe practice splatting a couple times with the Reef Lux and eventually got splatted just before time ran out as well. I even won the match in the end lol. Great work, team.

I hate in salmon run when someone is sitting directly under the steel eel and pounding help...you know you can shoot through it what are you expecting me to do...

Not a fan of the Explosher and Goo Tuber for sure...

Explosher can break Flyfish pods like a grenade tho, and Goo Tuber it's important to know that you can hold the charge while in ink, giving you some important mobility

The bamboo sniper is literally the worst weapon in Salmon Run from my experience. If the loadout doesn't have bamboo, then imo it's manageable
