Because that's not how I'd describe any of the movies I've seen from him so far, which is a shame because I really like the knowledge he has as a director. Like the type of equipment he wants to use for a given film, the way he plans his movies out, etc. He's definitely an intelligent dude when it comes to the field he's in.

I still need to see Memento, Dunkirk, and Insomnia. I've heard good things about those, at least.

TDK and the Prestige were mid. I actually straight up just hate TDKR lol. But I'd definitely be willing to give Memento a shot one day.

By default yes. Hell, I like Batman & Robin more than those movies.
Batman Begins is a complete snoozefest that I can never finish, and The Dark Knight is just fine, I guess. But at least they aren't the trash fire that is The Dark Knight Rises.

Interstellar was good. At least, as long as MATT DAMON isn't on the screen.

I enjoyed Tenet as a whole despite everyone hating it. It was well shot and the score was excellent. Everyone was pretty solid in it and sure, the story was a convoluted mess but it was still fun to watch.

Durr anyone who has an opinion I don't like is trolling.

That shit is so annoying. B&R certainly isn't a good movie but I sure as hell find it more fun and entertaining than the Nolan films.

I don't know. I kind of rolled my eyes when I saw that the main character of Tenet was called "The Protagonist".
Reminded me of that piece of shit Matthew Vaughn film Layer Cake with Daniel Craig.

I will agree there. Especially at that scene whens he all this is my story. It was dumb but whatever. I also just really like John David Washington, he was so damn good in BlacKkKlansman.

in terms of actually being enjoyable it really is. Ive seen movies with worse production, acting, etc. but they at least were marginally more fun or charming

The Following and Interstellar are the only ones I like without too much reservation. TDK trilogy loses a few points for being too...like...philosophically adolescent. I haven't seen Memento.

My dislike for that movie is mostly on me. I've seen a bunch of his movies and became a huge fan of Matthew Vaughn before I saw it. Including Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, which he produced, but those honestly feel more like his movies than Guy Ritchie's.

So I went into Layer Cake expecting his over the top style from the other films he worked on. I was super disappointed to learn that it was a really genetic, gritty crime film that took itself seriously.

Memento
Batman Begins
The Prestige
The Dark Knight
Inception

Those are the ones I like. Interstellar and Dunkirk both have their moments for sure, but less good overall imo. Interstellar was very memorable but it got too silly.
