I agree. I've been taking a lot of walks at night since it's been over 100 degrees these last few months. It feels both peaceful and invigorating.

Yeah. Where it got hot during the day, I started going out at night a lot more. I mostly just lay in the bed of my truck and star gaze. Seen some shooting stars, and plenty of satellites And like hundreds of planes I also accidentally scared some people who didnt see me Haha They found it pretty funny, though My dogs did, as well

That said, Im out much later than 8 But I do see most of the same people out around that time

It was more directed toward your antagonistic attitude. You claim you want to be as invisible as possible, yet go out of your way to be antagonistic in your posts.

As to the person quoted in your previous message, it sounds more like she was caught up in a bad neighborhood and left it. Most of the 'men are dangerous' viewpoints are describing areas without a rule of law, where people live day by day in a state of confrontation and uncertainty. That's more a product of circumstance than a gendered thing, aside from any 'opportunity' afforded by biological differences in size/strength.

That sounds nice. I'm usually back at home by 9 ish. I sometimes take the dog out with me if the asphalt is cool enough. I can't wait to move back to a cooler part of the state.

I find that, if you take a small knife and pop it under the lid in just the right spot, you can open all but the most stubborn jars.

Depending on the jar you can also use a spoon handle instead of a butter knife. That usually does the trick if you're opening a pickle jar or whatever.

I think some jars have just been screwed on poorly in factory, so it makes opening them damn near impossible too.

I think its because they dont want them to open during transport And maybe they do it tighter since the machine isnt perfect, and may make some not as tight. And I get too tight is better than too loose But they probably could make it so its not as tight That would be nice, I would think

True enough. The exception would be if you live in an unsafe city. Like people are talking about going for walks in their local park at night and I'm like "sounds like a good way to get jumped/mugged by gang members"

Depending on the neighborhood, theres plenty of times where I almost ran to my car in fear of being mugged or attacked.

Well this has certainly taken a turn, guess topics like this are going to be divisive and perhaps go in a different direction then intended.

All this thread did was continue whatever division there was in the sexes within the board.

Only thing I'm getting defensive about was getting dragged for taking the question too literal. Because when I pointed out that society would collapse on itself in even the smallest time like 24 hours, I got hit with "Are you saying women couldn't do all those things?"

So I was only posting support for my original post that there's a disproportional amount of male Uber drivers, cooks, ambulance drivers, police, firemen, etc. and the cities would grind to a halt should this actually happen. And then there are PLENTY of men that are just as scared about walking around town in the darkness of night.

It has zero to do with "OMG, they're trying to erase me!"

My apologies for pointing out the technical aspect of a shitty hypothetical. At least in the other bad hypotheticals on this board we get offered some money.

There are violent females out there. Even just the simple fact that there would be less cars on the road if women (or men) disappeared would make the world safer.

Yeah. There isn't a single female currently in jail because none of them commit crime.

I mean the vast majority of cops are men. Theres some women but if any major crime were to happen the police would have trouble getting enough female cops to handle it.

12% of police officers are female.
11.8% of firefighters are female.
24.2% of ambulance drivers are female.
27.6% of ER Doctors are female.

I could keep going, but if all of the males in just those 4 professions were to instantly disappear, even for 24 hours, society as a whole would collapse onto itself.

One of the silver linings of Covid's initial pandemic phase was the complete lack of usual traffic. At night even the usual white noise of the highway in the distance faded to nearly nonexistent. It felt like I was living in Wyoming or something...

I just think that overall crime would go up, due to the reaction to all women magically vanishing.

There's more men out there who would react violently than women who would react violently. Compare the number of male mass shooters to female mass shooters.
