Back when these cans were still prominent, so were those wooden shack country stores. They called them general stores, but they varied in setup. The last of them in the 90s were run by mom and pop couples and families. They'd make sandwiches or food and sell shit like batteries and small groceries.

When the big markets and supermarkets came in, you could still find stuff cheaper at the general store and you usually liked seeing the people working there. In old farm towns, that's all you had and the have lots of catalogs they would let you order from. They'd put in everybody's order and it would all come from all over on a truck the next couple weeks later. Some of them were so good with food they converted to restaurants.

They'd have local pictures on the wall like sports teams and other local stuff. May e family pictures from around town, etc. Lots of people standing by their new cars in the 60s and 70s.

That tab part looks awful.

There were some with soft aluminum foil sticky tabs you could pull. I remember them on fruit punch drinks, but could've sworn they were on beer too at one point.

I'm going to have to find it and buy the peach nectar one. I think one of the Walmarts near me sell it.

kinda not relevant, a little relevant...used to watch a lot of this guy - he eats old MREs (military rations). It's oddly soothing.

Yeah , I jusr checked Steve's uploads last night. Been 4 months. It's about time again. I enjoyed them during lockdown.

I have one sitting in a kitchen cabinet.

I remember we used to need them because my parents bought Ecto Cooler in the large cans. About the only thing I ever used the sharp side for.
