Like American football fights just seem so odd to me. You see them happen all the time online. But I never understand why people get to that point. This not meant to a flex, but I never sat with the average ticket holder went I went to games so I have no clue what these people can be going on about. Is it just the game.

Drunkenness and ego are the biggest contributors. A lot of fan bases in football are fine, but some fanbases have a high concentration of assholes. Philly being one of them.

The one time I almost got into a fight at a game it was because a fan of my own team was booing and injured player from another team and I told him to "have some fuckin class"

He was so confused when he saw I was wearing the same colors as him. Like he legit didn't understand why I called him out.

Also not for nothing, but non Americans have absolutely no room to talk about violence involved with sports.

You literally make fighting for your team a personality type.

That is one a level all to it's self. It seems to be odd deep rooted shit going on there. Like what made me think of this topic was a soccer fight where like gangs were fighting or something and killing people then stripping them for some reason. But that is fueled by non soccer stuff I think.

The American football people don't have those ties. Like I saw a fight of a Oregon and GA fan fighting . I mean these poeple don't have a history of even playing each othehr much less bad blood.

I feel like out of every sort of thing that has bad fans, sports is the worst. They're way too obsessive and take things too personally. Doesn't help that a lot of the bad ones are "macho" meatheads who are usually drinking booze.

Say what you want about Sonic fans, Star Wars fans, or any of the others that get regularly trashed, they don't go out rioting, or hurting people and getting into fights. I also never heard of anyone questioning another's manhood or sanity for not liking SW or whatever.

Americans will destroy their own cities when their local team wins a championship.

Nobody was about to fight in my story Im about to tell, but it was interesting that a bunch of home team fans ganged up on another home team who was bullying a visiting fan. Only time Ive seen it happen.

I was at a Bears/49ers game (Bears are home) in the 200 level (so we are on the second deck, and the lower deck is below us). The Bears sucked as usual, but the Niners were arguably the worst team in the league. In the front row of the 200 level, there was a Niners fan. The Bears were killing them, and this fan was taking it well, joking with other fans. Some dickhead Bears fan started to really give him shit, like he was going overboard. He crossed the line when he reached over, grabbed the guys hat, and tossed it over to the lower deck.

This normally would have started a fight, but like I said, this Niners fan was genuinely being nice, and the other Bears fans in the area had taken a liking to him. Also, you really cant buy individual tickets to Bears games - everything is season tickets, so the asshole fan probably bought his tickets from a friend who is a season ticket holder. So all of the other Bears fans in the area start getting on him for being an asshole, and threaten to report the guy as a group so that the season tickets get revoked. The asshole fan panics, because he might be the cause of his friend losing his season tickets (the waiting list can be over 20 years), so he goes to the lower deck, is able to retrieve the hat, and brings it back up. The Bears fans in the area werent satisfied with that, and really got on him to go the extra mile buy the Niners fan a beer and some food. So he did that.

The asshole fan mustve been feeling some real remorse and fear, because he did all of that, was apologizing like crazy, and by the end of the game, he and the chill Niners fan were talking and laughing. It was the weirdest thing to see unfold, but Im glad the other fans in the area stood up for the dude.

I can't think of anything in American sports that compares to something like the Heysel Stadium disaster or the Port Said riot.

Truly subhuman.

I wish we could scoop those crowds that riot after big football/soccer games losses(or even worse wins) in some big ass net and just dump em on some random island.

Passports and citizenships revoked.
