Have you ever gone skydiving?

If Yes, tell me your experience

If No, tell me why not

I think if I went skydiving , I'd have a heart attack. All I can picture is me closing my eyes and screaming the entire time

You don't think it'd be fun?

No, but i've flown about 50 times. I've rappelled down a 70 foot tower, that's about the most extreme thing like that i've done.

I feel sorry for the earth's population, 'cause so few live in the U.S.A. At least the foreigners can copy our morality, they can visit but they cannot stay.

Yes. The feeling of weightlessness - brief as it was - was so much fun. It was also not nearly as physically intense as some might think, it was honestly kinda serene to be up there. The parachute glide was the much more intense part.

Yes.

I'd always wanted to try it, and when I learned there was a skydiving club called "The Dropouts" at my college I decided to give it a go. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. And so far it's the only thing I've ever found where people describe it by saying "you just have to experience it yourself to understand" and they're not just bullshitting. I've still never been able to truly put words to it.

I've only ever done the 1 jump, sadly. I really wanted to go through the full licensing course and get certified, but it was fairly expensive and money was a little tight at the time so I had to put it on hold. Never was able to get back to it. Now I'm in my late 30's and although I could afford it at this point, I don't have that same "invincible" feeling as I did when I was younger. And although I would genuinely love to go at least a couple more times, half the fun is having someone with you to share the experience with. Which is understandably harder and harder to find as I get older. Maybe one day...

I fully recommend it to anybody who's even slightly curious. Just make sure you do your due diligence and look into the reputation and history of whatever club or school you're going to use. There's always going to be a few sketchy motherfuckers in every industry, but this one has your life in their hands in a far more literal and immediate way than most, so take your time choosing. But also don't be paralyzed by the possibility of something bad happening. Skydiving with a proper instructor and well respected school/club is incredibly safe specifically because they know how dangerous it can be and they go the extra mile to quintuple-check everything before even getting on the plane.

I got talked into doing it once. Did not enjoy it and have no desire to do it again.

I did once. I enjoyed it, which is kind of weird, since I have a bit of a fear of heights. I did have that sort of "Oh shit" moment before jumping, but at that point I just had to think "Oh well, no going back now." I don't really have much interest in doing it again, but never say never.

If the opportunity arose I would probably give it a try.

But it's not something I care enough about to actively seek out to try doing it.
