I saw an old veteran that had a army helmet that said "Born to kill Nazis" I thought that was cool.

The only problem with a statement like that in this day and age is that a lot of words mean nothing anymore, people these days use words like "nazi" and "fascist" and "authoritarian" to simply mean "person I don't like that doesn't align with me politically" so that statement could potentially be cast out to people that it wouldn't fit

People need to seriously stop comparing everyone and everything to Nazis. The right used to do that back in the 80s and 90s calling the left Nazis and now the left is just repeating the same damn thing.

The Nazis were very possibly the worst group of human beings that ever existed in all of human history. They exterterminated millions of people by just rounding them up and gassing them to death or burning them alive. They conducted medical experiments on human beings that made the Tuskegee Experiment look ethical in comparison. Not to mention the millions more that were killed in the war they started. As well as the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of damage and millions worth of stolen money, art, and relics many still missing to this day.

You didn't get a heads up about anything because they aren't the same thing at all. White supremacists in America have no plans to round up tens of millions of people and execute them. There is no plan for global domination by invading every other country on earth. There are no unchecked, unregulated, and unethical medical experiments going on. The majority of white supremacists don't even want to kick all the non-whites out of the country, they just want to have all the power.

Nazis on the other hand were not white supremacists. They were supremacists. They thought the 'Aryans' were the master race above all others. In fact they executed more whites then non-whites in the concentration camps, and would have rounded up and exterminated a lot more had they had their way. The whites they did let live would be either second class citizens or slaves.

So no, not the same thing at all.

How is it not an extremely controversial thing to say when half of America will get mad over this?

Can someone post that story about a bartender kicking out a customer because of some Nazi related tattoos or clothing. It reads like a copy pasta, but the gist of the story is nipping Nazism in the bud before it festers out of control.

Taken at face value, the statement is fine IMO. My problem is that I feel like anyone who says something like this, is the type of person to falsely accuse someone they disagree with of being a Nazi.

You seem to be missing my point. The point is people need to stop calling everything a Nazi. No matter how bad they are, they still aren't worse then the Nazis. Stalin killed millions more people then Hitler and yet he still isn't considered to be anywhere near as bad as Hitler and the Nazis. No one can compare to them as they are the worst people who ever lived.

I don't know why people think this means I'm somehow defending white supremacists. Just because someone isn't a fucking Nazi doesn't make them a good person or correct by default. I'm saying people need to stop misusing and overusing the term Nazi. It has basically just become the boy who cried wolf at this point.

I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out."

And the dude next to me says, "hey i'm not doing anything, i'm a paying customer." and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, "out. now." and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in a punk uniform, I noticed

Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, "you didn't see his vest but it was all nazi shit. Iron crosses and stuff. You get to recognize them."

And i was like, ohok and he continues.

"you have to nip it in the bud immediately. These guys come in and it's always a nice, polite one. And you serve them because you don't want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.

And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh shit, this is a Nazi bar now. And it's too late because they're entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

And i was like, 'oh damn.' and he said "yeah, you have to ignore their reasonable arguments because their end goal is to be terrible, awful people."

And then he went back to ignoring me. But I haven't forgotten that at all.
