It's been a while. I've been drinking less, so that's probably part of it.

I watched Roma, nothing. Lilting didn't do it. Minari almost got me but not really.

It can be sad or happy crying. Some all time tear makers for me : Arrival, Before Midnight, Up, Paddington 2, The Florida Project, Children Of Men, Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Make me weep, CE.

I'm sure it's a trite pick nowadays, but if Bing-Bong from Inside Out doesn't make you at least tear up, you have a jagged piece of flint where your heart should have gone.

I forgot about Inside Out. I was a little too drunk watching that one and was basically inconsolable every time sadness said anything.

GOTF is one I've been considering, and Your Name is on my watch list as well. Not a big fan of anime and even harder to get my wife on board. Perhaps.

I've had this on BluRay since it was released and haven't watched it. The score alone has moved me. This might be what we (finally) watch tonight.

But keep em coming CE, help me masturbate my emotions!

I second Interstellar, it didn't make me emotional, but it's an amazing watch.

It's great! Long movie though

It's also available on Canadian Netflix so I assume it should be on American Netflix as well for anyone interested.

You could watch the following instead.

It's only four minutes in length but captures most of the film.

Blue Bayou is about a true story of a Korean man who was adopted as a child by Americans and raised in Louisiana. For some reason his parents never got him made into a citizen. As an adult he is married and has a daughter but gets threatened with deportation anyway

Only issue with the movie is the real man behind the story, apparently for some reason I can't remember, didn't like the movie or approve of it. But I didn't know that till after I had seen it. I don't know how true to the actual events the movie is, but its very sad

People unwilling to read subtitles don't deserve to watch films. Added to the list.

Read the first volume of The Sandman, or watch the first 6 episodes of the series.

A bit long, but the payoff will leave you a broken mess.

A cast featuring Emma Stone, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain is going to make me horny, not sad.

Serious though, I'll add it to my list. Viola Davis is great. She was in Doubt for all of eight minutes or so, next to titans like Meryl Streep, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams (my favorite actor) yet managed to get an Oscar nomination from her very small part, because she was THAT fucking good.
