I know they mean driving cars, but why do i always assume they mean using forklifts and cranes?

Some drugs do actually use the disclaimer "don't drive or operate heavy machinery" instead. But the reason most of them leave the driving part implied is they don't want to scare off potential customers.

This reminds me of the time i worked with a guy from india who always curious about this kind of thing. "Why do you put "dangerous for baby" on plastic bag? This is obvious!" Why do you put content is hot on coffee cup? This is obvious!"
