I don't remember anything other than the frustrating constant two-minute scenes of dull, characterless chatter about where to go next. I didn't make it very far into the third island because every facet of the game was bad. The story being even more nonexistent than normal was one of those, and the pacing of that minimal story was so bad that it made the game unplayable.

Every Pokmon game before S&M was more about minimalist story (hell, even Arceus is that way). This one had many more cutscenes, a third to a half of which could have been replaced by a single line of dialogue, and another 25% could have been cut in half. It's frustrating to have constant cutscenes that amount to nothing.

The entire cast also had little to no personality and the lack of voice acting was a huge reason why. What's sad is that they employ their own voice cast for the anime so it's easy enough to use them, but that isn't relevant here. This is about the writing, which is soulless and needlessly drawn-out.

I won't even get into the other reasons why Pokmon Moon is among the worst games I've ever played. There are several.

6.5/10. Definitely one of the best Pokmon stories and while not as good as Black & Whites Id say its more of a model of what a good Pokmon story can be. Its like a decent kids movie in style at tone, that is also accessible to an older audience.

Best pokemon story of the games I've played. That's more of an indictment on the others, but I quite liked this one. It's clearly unfinished but they're trying a lot of interesting things here, and Lillie is probably the best written character in the whole main series. I'm surprised this is doing so badly!
