Great cast, some neat effects, but nothing came together.

Kinda torn between this and WW84 being the worst DCEU film.

On the plus side, I watched Aquaman last weekend (which was reasonably good) and, on the negative side, I watched The Batman the weekend before (which was reasonably bad... and it replaces Batman Begins as my least-favorite Batman movie)

It's a movie told from Harley's perspective, it worked well enough imo.

So basically you hate women

I thought it was okay as long as you accepted that the character they called Cassandra Cain was not in any way connected to the comic character of that name.

Of course "Okay" does not mean "great" so it was not as good as the 2 Deadpool movies, and I've seen better female-led action movies (mostly from Hong Kong)

I thought the first Suicide Squad was horrible. I haven't seen Birds of Prey, but I can't imagine it could be any worse than that flaming bag of dog shit in a train wreck.

Thanks for adding this at the end. I now know that your taste in movies is god awful overall and can continue to not take you seriously.

It wasn't "good", but it was fun at times.

Definitely leagues better than Suicide Squad

Its my go to movie when I want to watch something fun with action and interesting characters. I love it a lot!

tbh, I'd forgotten to mention the movie's "men are evil, unreliable, and out to get you" overtones which felt ridiculously forced and constantly shoved in your face every step of the way. Especially when you consider the only men with a positive role in any of the girls' lives is Huntress's adopted family and, other than Harley, she's the secod-biggest mess in the movie from an emotional and psychological standpoint. The movie had so many other issues that slipped my mind and, honestly, the forced humor was more annoying at times.

That also irked me a bit. There was no reason to use the name when the two had almost nothing in common. Could've just been an original character or somebody else from the comics.

The first Suicide Squad was pretty rotten. Even without the production history issues, I imagine it would've been bad. I liked the soft reboot a lot better, although it basically just felt like a GotG film set on Earth (and a lot of its jokes landed because they spoofed things from the first film)

I've only heard good things about The Batman but I hate that cowl so much that I have avoided watching it so far

I enjoyed it more than justice league, man of steel, bvs, aquaman and the first suicide squad. Then again me liking it is more for it being nothing like those others so understand why a dc fan would hate.

I thought it was funny that they tried to make her less male gaze-y and less sexy but she was honestly still fine af in that movie
