Having owned that breed, the thing that can surprise people about them is their bite strength is higher than you might think. The few that I've had never once showed aggressive behavior to people though, even if you approached them while they were eating or playing with a chew. Given their size though being surrounded by 5 of them might be a bit daunting, since they're large enough to actually tackle a person.
