i tried t-mobile 5g internet for a year. it worked well last august/september and then slooooowly it got worse and worse.

i'm not sure if it's because the other large services are also offering 5g internet and there aren't enough towers but i have been getting 1-12mbps download speeds for the past three weeks.

just a warning that 5g internet is not super ideal and i don't recommend trying it.

It's most likely the lack of bandwidth. More people using it and bottlenecking the access towers or hubs.

That's what I'm assuming. The other 5g services might be different but I'm not sure. T-Mobile has very limited access to changing anything in their gateway - even something as basic as Port forwarding. It's really really basic service.

I used 4g Internet ages ago (before the provider shut it down) and found it perfectly acceptable, but I lived in an area with good 4g coverage and that was like a decade ago? I think.

My phone service on T-Mobile has been consistently great and so has their customer service so I don't have that experience. When I called about the issues I was having they straight up told me their internet service isn't right for my needs anymore and I might want to shop around. They are being very transparent with me.

Weird, I have never heard good things about t mobile, even from my friend who works there. I had it for a little bit after they bought out sprint and my services immediately went to crap (well immediately after they switched over to t mobile's network, at least)
