Just to clarify, anyone can apply to Global Entry/Precheck, you don't need the Sapphire Reserved. Using it for the application fee will reimburse the cost, though. Which is I think $100 for Global Entry (just get that, btw, no need for both, you'll only be reimbursed for one anyway).

One has 5% for groceries, so that one gets used for grocery only.
Currently churning an Amex card, spend 2k in 6 months to get $200.
One has 5% on Amazon.
One has 5% on Target.
One has 1.5% on everything and 3% on Drug stores.
The rest are just there to keep my available credit above $60k and letting me have a high 700 credit score while I get a new card every 6 months or so for the sign on bonus without taking too big of a hit on the old credit score.

No yearly fee on any of them at the moment.

Just 1. Actually just got approved for it this week. 2% cash back, and an extra $200 back when spending $1000 in the first 3 months

0... Never had one and never had any reason to have one...

Just one, as I live in a debit card-based country and only very rarely use it for payments where payment by debit card is not an option.
I do get points back from it, but the store products I can use them on are generally overpriced and/or not really worth it.

Some have pointed out they live in countries that don't have the American style of credit system and cards don't have nearly as good of rewards. Even in the US, those under 18 can't sign up for their own yet, and those under 21 who aren't working regularly (like college students) might have a tough time getting them.

Personally I find it worrying that some people have several. It kind of smells like an indicator of the "live now, pay later" mentality.

The point is to carry 0 balance or like me, one balance on one card across 8 cards with 0 apr. Not doing this smells like not being prepared for life in case of emergencies. Or not understanding you could be getting paid every month money back or rewards. Like air miles

I can access about 90k of my cash flow but in a real emergency beyond that I can access 80k of my credit limit

Either way, Global Entry is so worth it even paying full price.

Why pay cash when I can get cash back on credit cards? I have several and use the ones that have the most cash back for whatever purchase I am making. I pay all off in full each month.

That is true for some but not everyone. Last I checked my transunion was at 804 cause I have never missed a payment on anything. If you are able to manage your credit wisely then more credit cards is better

You do need to make sure to use them every once in awhile though cause they can be closed after an extended period of not using them so that makes having a lot of cards annoying if you don't plan on using them all

I use an app called MaxRewards that tells me which of my cards is best to use wherever I'm at, whether its location-based or just inputting a business into the search bar

Easy to manage since some of my oldest cards rotate categories quarterly so I just manually inputted them to my collection that first time and now I can easily always check on the app

3 but I only actively use one.

Only 2 and I dont want anymore than that.
