This will be the first time I see my ex in almost two weeks and the first time since he tried to kill himself.

I feel selfish but I dont look forward to this. Im so pissed off he tried to kill himself and in our shared home to make it even worse if possible. Ive finally managed to get rid of the blood stains. But I dont want those feelings to be visible. Fuck this shit tbh.

I understand that you're shocked and hurt but please, whatever you do, don't be angry at someone for trying to take their own life, that's terrible. Anger will not help him at all. People do not attempt suicide for the purpose of hurting you, others, or for making things worse; they do it to escape their pain as they can no longer cope. Showing anger towards them is a horrible thing and will only serve to make things worse or make them spiral down more. The last thing you want is to be cold and angry towards him. Please have empathy and understanding, and don't hold a grudge just because he attempted it in your shower.

I know. Which is why Im venting on CE instead of at him. Im lying to friends and family about my wellbeing for his sake since I promised not to tell anyone about what he did.

What really frustrates me is that he did stuff to me before his suicide attempt which anyone would be justifiably angry about and now it feels like he has robbed me of my right to be angry about those things since he hurt himself and thus must be treated with kids gloves. Yet that doesnt change what he did pre-suicide attempt.

It all went very well. It actually felt good between us. As well as it can.
