Console gamers spend more on tv's and subs than pc players would upgrading their hardware every now and then.

I've had my 65" TV for close to 10 years and it cost me 400 because I bought it on black Friday my PS4 I've had for almost as long so thats $800 in 10 years. Which if I bought a PC and monitor for 1500 instead I'd still have payed almost double.

You're actually wrong about that.

Any PSOne game that you purchased on PSP/PS3/Vita that winds up on PS4/PS5 is automatically yours.

I know, because I downloaded Wild Arms, Jumping Flash and Ape Escape after the update.

Also, players who have previously purchased the digital version of select games from the original PlayStation and PSP generation will not have to make a separate purchase or sign up to PlayStation Plus to play these titles on PS4 or PS5. Some of the titles will also be available for individual purchase.

I can name 1 member that give so much trouble, even goes out of his way to go to the PC board even though he has no interest in PC.

A PC that can play both as well as do way more and can be upgraded instead of replaced seems like a better investment IMO

However if youre only interested in games from one brand then yeah a PC isnt really worth it.

I didn't know that, I guess I was unlucky the PS3 PSN games I bought didn't make it to the PS4.

I had these games:

Sonic Adventure 1 & 2
Sonic Heroes
Sonic Fighters
Final Fantasy VII
Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3
Spyro 1/2/3

None of these games were available on PS4. The Final Fantasy Vii PS4 was different, meaning the one I had couldn't be play on the PS4 and needed to rebuy.

For what it's worth, Sony at least lets you upgrade their hardware with PC components (PS3, PS4 and PS5 have PC hard drives, and the PS3 could even use PC WiFi and ethernet USB drives)

For as much as PC gaming is heralded in all the tech gaming videos, it's still less than 40% of the whole gaming demographic and it's debatable how much of even that population play serious games that aren't chinese RPGs or freemium stuff.

've been playing on my PC on my couch in the living room with 7.1 surround sound, you're doing it wrong.

I've been PC gaming on my TV for over a decade now. My experience is no different than that of a console

Gaming on laptop is great - 1440p HDR gaming anywhere you go. Get an Xbox Elite controller and you're good to go.

There's also the steam deck

I also want to point out that most games that come to game pass are extremely buggy. I had game pass a couple months ago and of the 10 or so games I've played, a good 8 of them were buggy as all hell.

I find these topics hilarious. If consoles failed to exist these games would not come to PC, because they wouldnt be made in the first place.

PC fanboys really think Microsoft and Sony would be 3rd party developers if consoles didnt exist

Microsoft is Windows for PC and Xbox for console. There are games that you can buy on Microsoft store that works on both PC and Xbox, just only 1 purchase.

Sega makes games for PC and console, they didn't stop making games when their Dreamcast failed.

Sony has made exclusive games for mobile phones. They made some of their exclusive games available on PC.

If Microsoft allowed Steam on Xbox, that would be so cool. Having Xbox library + Steam library would be huge.

Sort of how Steam Deck allows Windows OS on it.

Neither Sony or Microsoft are sole gaming companies. Sega also dipped in quality in their games after going 3rd party. So even if say Sony did go third party youre not going these high budgeted single player games made to move consoles. GoW has sold under a million copies on PC, thats not even enough to cover its development budget.

Lol what? Where are you getting your info? GoW passed the 1 million mark in the first 2 weeks of release. We don't have the exact figures but after a month, they were already estimating that it sold between 2 to 5 million copies. Releasing on Steam is absolutely profitable for Sony.

PCs are so much better than consoles it's not even funny.

Either way though, Sony considered it very successful and it looks like they will continue to put their games on PC for the foreseeable future.
