But yeah TC I would say they both have great replay value. I feel XD should have more due to variety and your starter choices. Yeah that's stupid, what they should have done is the gold/silver/crystal thing of have him chill out somewhere in a tough cave or wherever until the protagonist arrives and then battle him as a test of strength, just like Red did to GSC's protagonist. It would have been cool to see him again and try our hand at battling him. gale of darkness was the last pokemon anything I ever played. I'd already nopped out by gen 3 but came back briefly to play gale of darkness since I unironically liked Colosseum and the dark lugia on the cover intrigued me.
